WWE Mass Firings After Night of Champions Leaks

WWE has not executed any cuts to the roster since Triple H took over. Howerver, that could change soon. After the dust settles from Night of Champions and the 2023 WWE Draft, some big cuts are reportedly around the corner.

Wrestle Votes spoke to Give Me Sport about WWE’s future plans. It was noted that several cuts to the WWE roster are on the way.

No names were mentioned in this report, but the expectation is that fans should see “a minor batch of releases” go down before July rolls around. Of course, it was also noted that there is hope that this doesn’t happen, because nobody wants to see someone lose their job.

“I don’t know names at all, but I know a source that has said to expect a minor batch of releases prior to July 1, I think that’s just business. Hopefully I’m wrong on that one, but I would expect prior to the second half of this year, a few cuts just because of the circumstances that the company finds themselves in right now.”

WWE underwent a massive change after Endeavor took over. A new company, TKO Holdings Group, came out of the situation, and WWE employees were also ordered to make a return to headquarters. This caused some to worry that cuts are coming.

A rumor started making the rounds last week that WWE is firing employees already. While turnover at a company WWE’s size is impossible to stop, there have been no mass releases in the name of the merger. After all, many within WWE feared they would start firing people, and a return to HQ was just the first step of that.

Ringside News recently reported that they reached out to inquire whether WWE has started firing people.

“We were told by a tenured member of the WWE staff that they are not aware of any such firings.”
