The former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley might be returning soon ahead of Money in the Bank. She had suffered a knee injury in July 2021 while training at the Performance Center. She was scheduled to take on Bianca Belair in a SmackDown Women’s title match at Money In The Bank last year. It was announced that she would be out of action for about nine months due to her injury. ‘The Role Model’ also recently dropped some hints about her return.
Bayley might return ‘soon’
WWE recently announced all the participants for the Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder match. However, fans have wondered whether Bayley will be the making her presence felt at the show. According to Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Bayley is expected to return to the company ‘somewhat soon’ after being out of action for over a year.
The Role Model suffered a knee injury in July 2021 while training at the Performance Center. She was scheduled to take on Bianca Belair in a SmackDown Women’s title match at Money In The Bank 2021. She has been away from the company ever since sustaining the injury.
‘The Role Model’ seemingly revealed the exact spot that resulted in her knee injury last year. In her recent Instagram story, Bayley shared a WWE Network video of a spot from her Hell in a Cell match against Bianca Belair. The 20-minute hard-fought battle ended with Belair retaining her SmackDown Women’s title via pinfall.
We will have to wait and see when Bayley makes her highly-anticipated comeback to on-screen programming.
