WWE might have more issues with future events in Saudi Arabia

WWE’s 10-year deal with Saudi Arabia will last another 8+ years. However, due to WWE moving to FOX Network this year, that might cause complications for that partnership.

SmackDown is moving to Fox on Fridays in October and this deal was made last year itself. However, Saudi Arabia also wants events to take place on Fridays and this could pose a problem.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that due to FOX Network having Smackdown Live on Fridays, Saudi Arabia has requested the same day of the week for their future shows. Owing to this, WWE might have to think of something.

Right now for 11/1, the WWE has a listing for a FOX show from Newark, NJ and a show in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and King Saad University Stadium. So that would either mean split crews or they’d have to change the Saudi date

The next Saudi Arabia event will take place on November 1st. However, that date can easily be changed if Saudi Arabia wants it to. We will keep you updated regarding this situation when we know more.
