WWE might not make another all-female event this year

Women's announcement

WWE made history last year with WWE Evolution, which was a huge success. However, it seems that there might not be a sequel to the event since Ronda Rousey vs Nikki Bella brought a lot of attention to WWE.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted the WWE doesn’t seem to be planning on making another Evolution event this year. This might be because the only reason the event happened was due to the star power of the main event and to counteract the Saudi controversy where women were not allowed to compete.

An interesting note when it comes to this year’s schedule with no Evolution PPV after what a success the first one was that WWE is not yet committed to doing an all-women’s show of that magnitude without Rousey, who at last word wasn’t booked past the Raw after Mania.

Perhaps WWE will change their mind in due time. After all, anything is possible in WWE. It would be a shame if they never did another event considering how good the original Evolution was.

This is good over all. No one wanted to see it, no viewership ratings were up, and in the end. It really didn’t matter, much like the Saudi event. It was all about trying to make the money… No wonder why Vinny is trying to reclaim the XFL. Everything else “product” wise has been hard to watch.

I really cannot believe they are still holding onto the whole Nikki and Ronda bringing people in crap.
They were not the draw of that show and have not even been a draw on the main roster TV or PPVs either.

WWE thought they would be a draw but what they forget is the people who watch Total Divas are wrestling fans, so Nikki Bella is not going to bring in any non-wrestling fans.

And Rousey .. well she has not proved to be the draw WWE was hoping.
Her main fanbase is MMA, and if MMA fans are not watching wrestling already it is because they are those MMA guys who hate wrestling because it is fake.
Her movie career has hardly been outstanding, so that is not going to bring anyone in either.

If anything she brought in a few lapses wrestling fans out of curiosity and they obviously did not stick around if the TV ratings are any kind of gauge.

Please give the women wrestlers there own show. Raw seems to now have more women wrestling then men.

What was that show in the 80’s? Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling. It was a different kind of “feel the glow.”
