WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW RESULTS (4/13/2020)

Show Opening

The WWE Forever intro plays us into the RAW opening video sequence to kick off the April 13, 2020 episode of Monday Night RAW! We are hyped for the return of the new WWE Champion, Drew McIntyre, fresh off his Wrestlemania 36 victory over Brock Lesnar! A video clip recapping McIntyre’s defeat over Lesnar to ultimately obtain the WWE Championship is presented!

Video Clip

The Drew McIntyre vs. Brock Lesnar match from Wrestlemania 36 is highlighted. McIntyre delivering the Claymore Kick to Lesnar for the pin, Lesnar kicking out, stunning McIntyre. Lesnar hitting his finisher, McIntyre kicking out, Lesnar’s turn to be shocked. McIntyre delivering Claymore kick another two times, daring Lesnar back to his feet, McIntyre ultimately landing the pin for the win, obtaining the WWE Championship!

In-Ring – New WWE Champion Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre’s music sounds in the Performance Center as McIntyre makes his way onto the stage, stopping at the top of the ramp to show off the WWE Championship belt, then making his way down the ramp and entering the ring. McIntyre grabs lifts the mic and looks directly into the camera as he thanks the fans at home for inviting him and the other WWE Superstars into their homes for tonight’s WWE Monday Night RAW.

McIntyre continues on thanking fans for their support through the last several months, specifically those who stayed in his corner as he started to show his true self more in the show, adding that online comments can be negative and makes it hard. McIntyre states he is currently living his lifelong dream and is still stunned at his own victory over Brock Lesnar as he had always dreamed of one day beating someone of Lesnar’s capacity.

McIntyre goes on to discuss the match immediately following Wrestlemania 36 where McIntyre had to engage in an impromptu match with the Big Show when Big Show came out pretending to congratulate McIntyre on his victory over Lesnar, then pointing out they were both in ring attire and that McIntyre wasn’t ready for what the WWE Championship Title meant, defending it. McIntyre originally stating he wasn’t going to fight, even with Big Show trying to “push his buttons” as an Irishman with a short fuse.

McIntyre sends us into a video clip of his and Big Show’s bout immediately after Wrestlemania. Big Show trying to take advantage of the fact McIntyre was not at his full ability as he had just taken on Lesnar 20 minutes prior. McIntyre ultimately ducks Big Show’s knockout punch attempt, and lands a Claymore Kick for the pin and win on Show. As we come back from the video clip, McIntyre states he will only fight those worthy of the title shot.

At that point, McIntyre is interrupted by Andrade’s entrance music. Andrade makes his way to the stage with Zelina Vega accompanying him close behind. Vega declares Andrade is a “real champion” of Monday Night RAW as McIntyre mocks, “and the crowd goes… mild,” as he notes he knows what Vega is going to say as he knows what the two are about, joking it’s sounds like something out of “Braveheart”. McIntyre listens to Vega hype Andrade then ultimately states if Andrade wants a champion vs. champion match, he can have it.

Announcer’s Table

The Money in the Bank ladder match qualifiers are announced for tonight’s show, the commentators then adding that Becky Lynch is in attendance tonight.

Backstage

We see Asuka preparing for the upcoming qualifiers match, alongside Kairi Sane. Ruby Riott is seen as well as we go to the first commercial break of the night!

According to Drew McIntyre before the break, he is ready for any challenge. The match up of Drew McIntyre vs. Andrade for the Universal Championship Match is announced for later tonight! Champion vs. Champion, is Drew McIntyre ready?

WWE Women’s Money in the Bank Qualifier Match
Asuka vs. Ruby Riott

As we come back from commercial break, we go into the WWE Woman’s Money in the Bank Qualifier Match, the commentator’s explain the MITB title entails a contract for a year long guaranteed anytime anywhere championship match with the title holder. Out first is Asuka of the Kabuki Warriors as her music sounds in the arena. Asuka makes her way down the ramp and enters the ring, moving throughout the ring as her intro song finishes.

Out next is Ruby Riott as her music sounds in the arena. Riott makes her way down the ramp and enters the ring with an awaiting Asuka. The referee signals for the bell, the bell rings and the match begins. Asuka starts off trash talking in Japanese, inaudible, as she laughs following each statement. Riott looks on, feigning a sportsman-like shake, then grabbing Asuka into a Headlock to start things off in this match up! Riott throws a strike, Asuka mocking her.

As Asuka dances around the ring, Riott grabs Asuka declaring, “I want the real Asuka!” The two continue their back and forth scuffle, Asuka with a kick to the face of Riott, Riott landing in the corner of the ring. Riott back to her feet with a Back Elbow to the face of Asuka. Riott ends up on the canvas, Asuka with a pin attempt. Riott gets the shoulder up for the kick out at two. Asuka lands the Hip Attack, knocking Riott to the outside of the ring, Asuka following closely behind. The referee shouts to the two to get back in the ring.

Ruby Riott grabs Asuka and throws her over the barricade on the outside of the ring. Asuka back to her feet, counters with a kick to Riott. Asuka climbs up on the barricade and begins to do the cabbage patch as she shouts and whoop’s… we go to commercial break.

As we come back from commercial break, Asuka is still in control of the match, Riott is shouting as Asuka drags Riott back to her feet only to throw her back to the canvas. a Running Knee is recapped from during the commercial break by Asuka to Riott off the apron. Riott knocks Asuka into the ropes, Asuka is caught up in the ropes before falling to ringside. Riott follows Asuka out, throwing her back in the ring.

Back in the ring, Riott throws Asuka into the corner, followed by the Forearm. Asuka catches herself in the corner as Riott throws her once again, Asuka stops her short. Both on their knees on the canvas with back and forth strikes to the face as each woman struggles back to their feet, adding in back and forth kicks. Riott rolls Asuka for a pin attempt, Asuka kicks out.

Asuka trying to lock in an Arm Bar, Riott rolls up Asuka for another two count. Riott goes for the Riott Kick, Asuka catches her and locks in an Ankle Lock. Shining Wizard by Asuka for another pin attempt, Riott shockingly kicks out! Asuka trying to set up for the Asuka Lock, Riott sees it coming, backing her up into the corner. Riott with a kick to the face of Asuka. Riott slams Asuka face first into the canvas, followed by a cover. Two count!

Riott grabs Asuka and drags her toward the corner, Riott climbs to the top, Asuka catches Riott and drags her to the mat, locking in the Asuka Lock. Asuka now raging as she shouts. Riott lands a Back Elbow. Riott hits the Flatliner and a cover, Asuka kicks out. Riott locks in a submission as she lands kicks to the side of Asuka’s face. Back and forth pin attempts. Asuka finally locks in the Asuka Lock, Riott taps!

Charly Caruso Interviews Asuka In-Ring

Charly Caruso congratulates Asuka on her win, stating that Asuka has clearly been more aggressive lately, Asuka says something in Japanese as she tries to catch her breath, then grabs the mic from Caruso, stating “No one is ready for Asuka!” which is clearly understood. Asuka then points up to the MITB briefcase hanging above her head with a confident smile.

Commentary Announcement

Aleister Black will be in action when we come back from commercial break! We then see a quick video clip hyping this Wednesday’s NXT on USA Network highlighting NXT Women’s Champion, Charlotte Flair, followed by the Interim NXT Cruiserweight Championship tournament set to begin.

With that we go to commercial break!!

As we come back from commercial break, we see MVP standing backstage with a make-shift VIP set surrounding him.

MVP Presents “VIP Lounge”

MVP begins, “Ladies and Gentleman, tonight, I offer you a very special invitation to the VIP Lounge. He states he has exclusive news, “there will be 3 MITB Ladder Matches” including the meaning behind the winning. He goes on to state the first match is Rey Mysterio vs. Murphy. The second match Aleister Black vs. Austin Theory. The third and final match, Apollo Crews vs. MVP. He states he’s not trying to sway anyone, but if ya wanna wager on the match… *MVP puts on sunglasses then motions making a basket* “ya boy is straight up… ballin’!”

Aleister Black vs. Oney Lorcan

As we enter the Performance Center main stage once again, Aleister Black’s music sounds in the arena. Black makes his way down the ramp and enters over the top rope into an Indian style sitting position in the center of the ring. Black stares into the camera as his music continues, Black’s angry glare not wavering. Black finally gets back to his feet as it’s announced his opponent is already in the ring. The referee signals for the bell. The bell rings and this match-up is underway!

Black throws up his guard as Lorcan attempts a Waist-lock on Black. Both men quickly go into a grappling match on the canvas. Lorcan gets a Waist-lock on Black locked in, Black struggling his way around Lorcan. Black attempts an early cover, Lorcan kicks out at one. Both men back to their feet and the two side step one another. Another lock up and drop to the mat as Black attempts another pin, Lorcan kicks out again. Lorcan lifts Black over the ropes onto the apron outside the ropes.

Black hits a Moonsault from the middle rope. Another pin and kick out. Black lands Lorcan ringside with a massive kick.

We come back from commercial break and Black and Lorcan are going back and forth with strikes inside the ring. Lorcan gets the upper-hand and hits an Uppercut on Black, followed by a Back Elbow, Black landing on the canvas. The two struggle on the mat once again. Aleister finally breaks free and gets back to his feet. More back and forth between the two, Lorcan once again trying to gain control over the match… Black lands Black Mass for the three count pin and win.

Winner: Aleister Black

Sarah Schreiber enters the ring for a quick interview with Black. Schreiber begins by asking Black if he has a strategy planned for his upcoming match with Austin Theory, Black responds simply, “…to win.”

Back from commercial break, Big Show’s music is playing as the commentators make an announcement coming from WWE Studios, they hype “The Big Show” show’s official debut on Netflix last week, and it debuted as the #3 show on Netflix!! (I’ve seen it, it’s a really cute show for families, for sure. A sitcom with kids and quick punchlines. The show surrounds Show, as a retired sports entertainer trying to figure out what he wants to do next. His teenage daughter from a previous relationship moves in with Show, his wife, and two younger daughters, and the expected family comedy sitcom antics ensue.)

Money in the Bank Ladder Match Qualifier
Sarah Logan vs. Shayna Baszler

As we head back into the Performance Center, Sarah Logan is announced for the next Money in the Bank Ladder Match qualifier about to take place. Logan makes her way to the stage and heads towards the ring.

(backstage) Sarah Schrieber is conducting a pre-fight interview with Shayna Baszler, Schrieber states that Baszler and Rhonda Rousey come from the same cage-fighting background, adding a question of, “have you heard recent comments, the derogatory statements that she’s made, do you have a comment? Baszler simply stares at Schrieber, then walks off for her match.

Baszler makes her way to the stage then heads down the ramp and enters the ring with awaiting opponent, Sarah Logan. Logan and Baszler stare each other down as the referee signals for the bell. The bell rings and the match begins. Both women head at one another, Logan strikes Baszler, Baszler retaliates with a strike of her own, taking Logan to the mat with a hard Forearm.

Baszler climbs on top of Logan and lands a fury of fists on Logan, the referee pulling Baszler off as Baszler continues to throw strikes at Logan who is blocking her face. Baszler stands by the ropes, then continues forward, stomping on Logan who shouts and cries as she covers her face. The referee asks if Logan wants to continue as she cries with her face in the canvas, then the referee shouts “ring the bell!”

Winner: Shayna Baszler (No Announcement of whether she qualified for Money in the Bank or not)

After the Match

As the referee is checking on a crying Sarah Logan, Baszler simply rolls under the ropes and exits the ring. Baszler doesn’t even head up the ramp, but simply walks behind the cameraman, exiting through WWE Staffers, Baszler picks up a steel chair, throwing it across the room as she walks out the door.

A WWE official enters the ring. At the commentator’s desk questions arise from Phillips, Saxton, and Lawler – “I think there’s a misunderstanding, unsure if Logan is potentially the winner, Baszler could possibly be the one that advances as the MITB qualifier?” The two continue to speculate over who should be declared the winner of the match. Sarah Logan continues to cry and hold her arm as she is escorted to medical team.

Backstage

Seth Rollins, speaking to himself, very monotone as he states, “At Wrestlemania, I lost to Kevin Owens. Once again, my career, has been crucified.” Rollins stares off into the distance as we go to commercial break.

Announcer’s Table

As we come back from commercial break Jerry Lawler, Tom Phillips, and Byron Saxton all sit ringside and still discussing the match from moments ago between Baszler and Logan, stating that officials reviewed the finishing of the match. They then clarify the winner of the match is Shayna Baszler by referee stoppage, and Baszler moves on as a qualifier for MITB.

Austin Theory vs. Akira Tozawa

3 weeks away from MITB, Phillips welcomes Zelina Vega to the commentator’s desk as they discuss the match between her client, Andrade and Drew McIntyre. We look back to the stage as Austin Theory is announced and his music plays in the Performance Center. Theory makes his way down the ramp and enters the ring, stopping only to pose and smile on the apron. Theory climbs in and stands on the second turnbuckle as he points to the MITB briefcase hanging above the ring. The referee then signals for the bell, the bell rings and the match begins.

Theory starts off the match toying with Tozawa, hitting a mixture of kicks and knees, then strikes. Theory talks trash to Tozawa and Vega brags on Theory, then discusses the match with Street Profits from last week. Lawler points out Theory is only 22 years old, questioning if he can handle the added pressure. Back in the ring, Theory stomps Tozawa and says, “that’s what Wrestlemania feels like”. Theory drags Tozawa across the ring and begins throwing strikes once again to the face and body of Tozawa.

Theory lands a Knee to the back of Tozawa who screams out in pain, Vega states, “make him scream for me”. Theory drags Tozawa to his feet throwing him into the corner of the ring. Theory then goes for a pin attempt, Tozawa kicks out at two, Theory goes back to dominating Tozawa, then going for another pin attempt and once again Tozawa kicks out. Theory grabs the arm of Tozawa, stretching it backwards.

Snap Suplex by Theory then locking a Strangle Hold followed by a Back Breaker for another pin attempt and kick out, Theory drags Tozawa back to his feet. Tozawa flips Theory who exits the ring momentarily. Tozawa off the ropes, running at Theory. Tozawa off the apron with a Senton on the outside of the ring on Theory. Theory now looking to be in pain as the referee gets to the count of six. Tozawa rolls Theory into the ring and off the top hits a flying maneuver onto Theory.

Tozawa attempts to control Theory who throws a Back Elbow. Octapus move on Theory. Theory counters with the ATL for the three count pin and win.

Winner: Austn Theory

After the Match

Andrade and Angel Garza enter the ring, the three members of Zelina Vega’s team, they power over Tozawa with a Hammerlock DDT off the middle rope by Andrade. Theory’s music plays them out as the three stand above Tozawa

A replay is shown of the attack by the three men on Tozawa once again. The “Champion vs. Champion” main event is noted once again. Charlotte Flair is also announced for her return to RAW (first time since Wrestlemania) tonight. With that we go to commercial break.

Saxton notes that he enjoys “Total Bellas” as we return from commercial break, an ad for the show plays us in to the commentators standing ringside. Phillips states that Daniel Bryan will appear in a match of his own on WWE Friday Night SmackDown. They then send us into a video of WWE Chronicle, highlighting Drew McIntyre’s journey to Wrestlemania.

In this video clip promo for WWE Chronicle, we hear McIntyre state though it wouldn’t be the Wrestlemania he dreamed of as a boy, as there won’t be pyro and fireworks and the roar of the crowd, he will feel the presence of the fans and it won’t be just his Wrestlemania, it will be everyone’s Wrestlemania.

Backstage Interview

Charly Caruso welcomes Rey Mysterio, pointing out his amazing career. Caruso says one thing still alludes him, Money in the Bank, following up asking Mysterio what it would mean for him. Mysterio discusses the last year, and states, “Nobody understands how dangerous the MITB contract can be to the champion.” Mysterio states he needs to beat Murphy next week to qualify, and though Murphy is strong, he doesn’t want it as bad as Mysterio.

Mysterio continues on stating that is the reason why he will be the winner of next week’s qualifier match and he will ultimately be Mr. Money in the Bank, ending his promo with “Boo-ya!” as he walks away. With that we go to commercial break.

Backstage

As we come back from commercial break. Seth Rollins is seen still staring off into nothingness, then looks to the camera stating in his monotone voice, stating he is still here for us, as everyone needs something to have faith in. Rollins then adds, “Your messiah has truly risen”.

Angel Garza vs. Tehuti Miles

Out first, is Angel Garza with a rose hanging out of his mouth as he looks into the camera, stopping to give the rose to a WWE staffer with a camera, giving her a kiss on the cheek. Garza then enters the ring with a cheesy smile. Tehuti Miles is already standing in the ring. The referee signals for the bell to ring, and the match begins.

Garza catches Miles mid-air with a Double Foot Dropkick, followed by a pop up and a Kick on Miles. Garza asks, “You wanna play this game?” Garza rips his pants off and tells Miles to get up. Miles writhing in pain on the canvas as Garza looks into the camera saying something in Spanish about love to everyone at home, unsure of the rest.

Garza then focuses his attention Miles again, ultimately hitting the Wing Clipper on Miles for the cover and the three count pin and win.

Winner: Angel Garza

After the Match

Once again, the other two members of Vega’s triple threat clients make their way into the ring with Garza, the three overpowering Tehuti Miles and attacking him. Austin Theory and Andrade drag Miles to the corner. Andrade lands the Hammerlock DDT on Miles as Phillips notes that that is the exact same move that Andrade used on McIntyre last year to win the NXT Championship.

Backstage Interview

Charly Caruso congratulates Asuka for her victory over Ruby Riott and then asks what Sane’s confidence level is going into her match with Nia Jax. Sane repeats the word, “Confidence” and laughs, Asuka striking a pose and stating, “Con-fi-dence” as well. Well, that clears things up. Sane and Asuka then say something in Japanese to end the interview.

With that, we go to commercial break.

Backstage Interview

“Do you see this scar on my arm?” McIntyre begins, adding that he looks at it at least two to three times a week, reminding him of Andrade. McIntyre then states he was “this close” as he pinches his fingers together , to losing it all. McIntyre declares, “I PROMISE I am going to hurt Andrade with a Claymore, and if he has to take six months off to recover, so be in.” McIntyre walks away on that note.

Money in the Bank Qualifier Match
Kairi Sane vs. Nia Jax 

Out first for this qualifier match for the Money in the Bank women’s match, is Kairi Sane representing the Kabuki Warriors. Sane makes her way down the ramp and enters the ring as the Kabuki Warriors music plays in the Performance Center. Sane continues to twirl her umbrella as her music dies out and Nia Jax’s music sounds next. Jax steps onto the stage, looking around before making her way down the ramp and entering the ring with her awaiting opponent, Kairi Sane.

The bell rings and the match begins. Kairi Sane jumping up and down, Jax walks over and knocks Sane to the canvas immediately. Jax picks up Sane and throws her across the ring, definitely having the power advantage and size over Sane. Sane gets back to her feet, mocking Jax as she smacks her own butt. Jax then attacks Sane once again, throwing her out of the ring.

We go to backstage where Asuka is cheering on her tag-team teammate, shouting, “Kairi! Les Go! Go-Go-Go! Kairi!” cheering Sane on. Back in the ring, Nia Jax continues to dominate Sane, throwing her once again to the opposite side of the ring, Sane holding the back of her head with both hands. Jax making this look effortless as she lifts Sane above her head, slamming Sane to the mat with the AnNIAilatefor the pin and three count win.

Winner: Nia Jax

Commentators note that Asuka, Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax, the three qualifiers moving on for the Money in the Bank event.

Charlotte Flair Promo In-Ring

As we come back from commercial break, Charlotte Flair, the new NXT Women’s Champion following her victory over Rhea Ripley at Wrestlemania 36, the Queen makes her way to the ring as her music plays in the Performance Center. Flair enters the ring and lifts the mic to begin her rant on how amazing she is. To begin, she states she is going to give a history lesson as The Queen.

Flair notes winning Royal Rumble and choosing to take on Rhea Ripley at Wrestlemania for the NXT Women’s Championship. Flair makes a point of stating that Becky Lynch didn’t challenge her, Bayley didn’t challenge her… Ripley did, and that meant something, even ballsy, as it grabbed her attention.

Flair continues on about being a Two Time Women’s NXT Champion and pointed out that even Vince McMahon knew she was the biggest thing in the women’s division, adding that is why she was included in the main even at Wrestlemania. Flair notes that Ripley wants to be just like her. Flair states there are levels to this and there will always be someone faster, stronger, and better.

Flair continues on to brag in a very “I’m better than you” tone. Flair notes that Io Shirai is next in line, and everyone bows down to the queen. “Woooooo!”

Ringside Commentary

Lawler, Phillips, and Saxton make note of the match last week between Lashley and Black where Lana was shouting from ringside and ultimately gave poor advice that lost Lashley the match. We are then sent to the video.

Video Clip

The video clip is shown of Bobby Lashley in his match with Aleister Black, where he took his wife Lana’s suggestion from ringside which ultimately cost him the championship. Then we see the post-match interview clip where Lashley states not only does he need to possibly find “new management” but possibly even a “new wife”…

As we return from the clip, the match between Lashley and No Way Jose is announced for after the break.

Quick Announcement

As we return from commercial break, the broadcast team announce that on this Tuesday’s WWE Backstage on FS1, Edge will be there as the guest.

Then the Shayna Baszler vs. Sarah Logan match from earlier tonight was highlighted once again. We see the video once again and Saxton states Logan could very possibly have a broken arm.

Bobby Lashley (w/ Lana) vs. No Way Jose

As we enter the Performance Center once again, we hear the music of Bobby Lashley sound as he makes his way down the ramp with his wife Lana close behind. No Way Jose is already in his corner of the ring as Lashley enters the ring. The referee signals for the bell, the bell rings and the match begins.

As usual Lana begins shouting to Bobby, giving advice and what not, Lashley having had enough, exits the ring after knocking No Way Jose to the canvas. Lashley looks into Lana’s eyes and states, “Will you just shut the hell up?” Lashley then re-enters the ring.

Lashley lands a few good strikes on No Way Jose, looking back at Lana again stating, “why can’t you just be quiet?” No Way Jose takes advantage of the momentary distraction and rolls Lashley for a quick pin attempt. Lashley kicks out at two. Lashley lands another strike on No Way Jose and with a Spear, Lashley goes for the pin on No Way Jose, getting the three count pin and win!

Winner: Bobby Lashley

After the Match

Bobby and Lana make their way up the ramp, stopping at the stage as usual to pose for their victory, Lana puts on a fake smile momentarily as her arm is raised with Lashley’s. Lana looks over to Lashley and glares, then turns back and smiles, Lashley looks down at Lana and glares, then looks forward as well. Awkward.

Backstage

Once again we see Seth Rollins standing backstage, in his newly found angry monotone voice, Rollins states, “To all the non-believers, you have left me no other alternative, tonight, I stomp out all doubt.”

Quick Announcement

The broadcast team state The Viking Raiders will enter the ring when we come back from commercial break.

Viking Raiders vs. Ricochet & Cedric Alexander

As we return from commercial break, The Viking Raiders music sounds in the arena as Erik and Ivar make their way out, heading down the ramp and entering the ring as they move in unison as they get hyped up for tonight’s match. Out next is Cedric Alexander and Ricochet! Their music plays them into the ring where they pose together in the center of the ring as strobe lights flash behind them.

The referee signals for the bell. The bell rings and the match begins. Ricochet and Erik start off tonight’s match up. Ricochet lands a strike on Erik in the corner and does a little dance to keep it light-hearted. Erik mows down Ricochet. Erik then knocks Cedric off the apron, taking out the possibility of a tag. Alexander knocks out Erik on the outside as Ricochet lands a Moonsault off the ropes onto Ivar.

Ivar throws Alexander into the corner, then throws Ricochet into Alexander. Alexander lands a DDT out of the corner on Ivar for a pin attempt to no avail as Ivar kicks out at two. Alexander tries to maintain isolation over Ivar, making the tag to Ricochet. A quick double team Clothesline attempt, Ivar still runs right through as Erik makes the tag.

Erik enters the ring with Alexander, Alexander quickly lands a few strikes before dragging Erik into the corner for another double team move on Erik as Ricochet tags in. They tag back and forth going at the Viking Raiders, trying to wear down the giants somehow. Alexander sends Erik to the outside, Alexander takes flight from the top turnbuckle, nobody home. Erik re-enters the ring and tags in Ivar.

Ivar comes in with a regained momentum as he goes wild on Ricochet, who is thrown out of the ring. Ivar flies through the ropes landing on Ricochet and Alexander together as we go to commercial break!

As we come back from commercial break, Viking Raiders have control of the match. Alexander attempts to land multiple kicks on both Erik and Ivar. Alexander jumps on Erik, Erik catches Alexander mid-air. Ivar lands a Springboard move for the pin, Ricochet enters and breaks the count just in time! Ricochet ends up on the outside of the ring once again.

The Viking Raiders hit the Viking Experience and pin Alexander for the three count pin and win!

Backstage

Charly Caruso stands with Street Profits members Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins. Ford then brings Bianca Belair into the frame, introducing her as his wife. Belair now “goes here” as she was formally on NXT. Street Profits declare their respect for the Viking Raiders. Ford and Dawkins give a quick history lesson on the actual Vikings from the 8th-11th centuries and why they respected them as well. Ford then says “the more you know” with a “rainbow” hand motion, then Ford and Dawkins freeze frame with their thumbs up and huge smiles. They continue to hold the cheesy pose until they are snapped back to reality by Ford’s wife, Belair. When Bianca Belair cuts the normal joking styles of Ford short, she is heard telling him to “stop with the games and get that smoke!”

WWE Champion vs. U.S. Champion
WWE Champion Drew McIntyre vs. U.S. Champion Andrade

Both champions make their way to the ring for tonight’s Champion vs. Champion match! Out first is US Champion Andrade who is accompanied by Zelina Vega, Austin Theory, and Angel Garza. The commentators note that Austin Theory won his match, then Angel Garza won his match. Will this be a trifecta victory on tonight’s WWE Monday Night Raw?

Out next is the WWE Champion, Drew McIntyre as his music sounds in the Performance Center. McIntyre makes his way down the ramp and enters the ring with Andrade and Zelina Vega. Vega and Andrade begin to trash talk McIntyre inside the ring. McIntyre asks Andrade if he’s going to “control her” referring to Vega.

The bell rings to begin the match, Andrade immediately lands a strike to McIntyre, McIntyre unfazed by the blow as he looks back at Andrade. McIntyre declares they belong to him.

An overhanded Chop by Andrade on McIntyre, McIntyre counters with a Headbutt which takes Andrade to the canvas. McIntyre lands a Big Kick on Andrade, sending him to ringside where Garza and Theory stand, both trash talking McIntyre. McIntyre is thrown into the ring post by Andrade.

Andrade rolls McIntyre back inside the ring, Andrade enter the ring close behind. McIntyre locks in an Arm Bar on Andrade. Andrade finally lands a Clothesline. McIntyre goes for the Future Shock DDT, Andrade counters with a Spinning Elbow. Vega and Garza knock McIntyre off the top turnbuckle.

McIntyre sitting on the turnbuckle as Andrade steps up to him. The commentators fear that Andrade is going to hit the same move that benched McIntyre, and ultimately took the NXT Championship Title from McIntyre. As expected, Andrade goes for the Hammerlock DDT, McIntyre counters and gets Andrade into the corner. Alabama Slam by McIntyre. McIntyre counts down with determination and hits the Claymore Kick for the three count pin and win!

Winner: Drew McIntyre

After the Match

Seth Rollins music suddenly begins in the Performance Center, Rollins enters the ring. Rollins throws a Super Kick at McIntyre, following up with a massive Stomp to the Champion. Rollins turns to look at the WWE Championship title belt, then stares into the camera momentarily, then turns his attention back to Drew McIntyre. Rollins then lands a second Stomp on McIntyre. Rollins sadistically stares at McIntyre to end the show!

That’s all for the April 13, 2020 episode of WWE Monday Night RAW, the first live WWE show following the multiple recorded shows of the past few weeks due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
