WWE Name Quits To Sign On AEW Dynamite

It was recently reported that Sonjay Dutt had left WWE after spending several years there as a producer for the company. However, even though it appeared that Dutt’s denature was of his own accord, it appears that he won’t be out of work for much longer. It is being reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider that Dutt is currently backstage at AEW Dynamite this week and has signed on to be a full-time producer. Could this former WWE star be heading to AEW?

Dutt has worked for a producer for WWE’s competition in the past as Dutt was once a producer for Impact Wrestling. Dutt retired due to injury back in 2017.

Fans discussed Dutt’s new gig over on the Squared Circle subreddit. One Reddit user named BingoFarmhouse proclaimed: “the fact that he quit the WWE job (wasn’t released) only to instantly go to AEW kinda tells me they have some plan like this. otherwise why quit a producer job to go get a producer job elsewhere probably paying less?” While user Nick_Nav10 stated: “Genuinely fantastic move, The Playa from the Himalayas has a great wrestling mind while also has competed with and knows a lot of the wrestlers in the back. Was a fantastic wrestler too and hopefully we could see a couple matches from him against the younger smaller talent.”
