WWE nixes announced Cain Velasquez match in Mexico

We noted before how Cain Velasquez was advertised for his second WWE match at an upcoming Live Event in Mexico but it appears that the bout has been canceled.

The company was advertising that the former UFC star will be teaming up with Rey Mysterio to face the team of Andrade and Drew McIntyre at the WWE Supershow on Saturday, November 30 in Mexico City, Mexico.

The event was expected to take place from the same arena where the former UFC Champion had made his pro wrestling debut for AAA in August earlier this year – Arena Ciudad de Mexico.

However, WWE Mexico recently rehashed the card for the event. The mentioned match is no longer listed in the new card and it appears that Velasquez will not be wrestling at the show anymore.

Though he is still advertised for an appearance at the show so it looks like he will be involved in a segment at the event. The reason for this change is not known at the moment but it’s likely that his knee injury has forced WWE to change the bout.
