WWE not concerned over AEW signing former WWE talents

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, WWE had to fire several Superstars last month. In total, over a hundred employees were let go. With the world being very different now, the company has reevaluated their opinion regarding letting go of talent.

Drew Gulak was released yesterday from WWE. During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed why WWE did not offer Drew Gulak more money to stay with the company. They were unable to come to an agreement and his contract ran out.

It was also said the company no longer considers former Superstars going to AEW as a threat like they did before. WWE is well aware the situation is very different from just a few months ago when any released wrestler could be snapped up by AEW. Now, they are no longer worried about that possibility.

We will have to see if Gulak goes to AEW eventually.
