WWE Paid Huge Money For Batista Return

The wrestler turned actor Batista has starred in a new movie called Army of The Dead. The movie was the sponsor of WWE’s WrestleMania Backlash pay-per-view.

 


 

Batista helped WWE earn a huge amount?

They attacked John Morrison and eventually The Miz, who was defeated by Damien Priest. However, as it turned out not many fans liked the angle and was highly critical of it. It seems WWE might not bother about it as they got paid a staggering amount.

Ringside News recently reported that WWE President Nick Khan got the sponsorship from Zack Snyder’s ‘Army Of The Dead’ film and it was a massive deal.

They further reported that WWE got “big money” out of the agreement which saw zombies surround the ring in that lumberjack match. In the end, WWE received “7 figures from Warner Bros.”

As mentioned earlier the idea of involvement of the zombies have been lambasted by several people. Mainstream media also was critical of WWE as The New York Post noted that “many will remember this one for the terrible, cheap-plug zombies.”

It was reported that The Miz was injured during that lumberjack match with Damian Priest. Zack Snyder’s Army Of The Dead, starring Dave Bautista, debuted on Netflix today.
