WWE possibly displeased regarding AEW’s success

When AEW announced the inception of AEW Dynamite, which would be live every Wednesday Night, WWE promptly made NXT live on the USA Network at the same time. This ushered in the Wednesday Night Wars.

The Wednesday Night Wars are still going strong, with AEW having the edge over WWE so far. WWE even bolstered up their writing team in order to combat this.

According to a report by The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the company has serious intentions of winning the Wednesday Night Wars, but they will not admit it.

Although nobody will say it, there is a lot of unhappiness about losing in the ratings every week. The unhappiness shouldn’t be losing as much as the complete inability to draw those under 50. NXT has always had writers but they were people who were on the main roster writing team who would also help write NXT.

With 5 exclusive writers for NXT, the company is doing all they can to secure the win in the 18-48 key demographic. We will have to see what they come up with.
