WWE ‘Pull’ Raw & Smackdown Main Eventers

WWE Chairman Vince McMahon seems to have some plans for a couple of WWE stars Kevin Owens and Damien Priest, who had prominent WrestleMania matches. Both the stars have been written off the programming and there have been multiple talks regarding this among the fans.

Kevin Owens wants to take a break

Kevin Owens recently let his fans know on Twitter that he is taking a little break from WWE.

He was involved in a brutal battle against Sami Zayn at the WWE Hell in a Cell pay-per-view event in Tampa, Florida at Yuengling Center. The next morning he sent out a Tweet for the hiatus.  Kevin Owens Calls Out WWE Firing At SmackDown

Owens tweeted:

“I fought like hell. Now, I need a little break. I’ll be back soon. Thank you, guys.”

It seems he has not suffered an injury and it is likely to be a way to involve him in a storyline.

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Owens is taking time off as part of a storyline.

Meltzer stated:

“He’s taking time off, but I was told it’s storyline-related. So, there you go.”

Speaking about Damien Priest, he has been out of action for a few weeks now and fans have been wondering about his status. He was featured in a tag-team match having Bad Bunny as his partner at WrestleMania 37 and most recently he squared off against The Miz at WrestleMania Backlash.

It turns out, he has been dealing with a back injury and that explains his break from television.

Fightful Select, reported that he will be available “as soon as next week.” But it is to be kept in mind that he would return once there are creative plans for him.

The hiatus of Priest has been said to be for “undisclosed reasons.” But, interestingly, he was at the Capitol Wrestling Center last week for NXT.

We will see when the stars are brought back by WWE.
