Brock Lesnar is known as one of the most dominant Superstars in WWE history. He has faced many top stars in the business and emerged victorious on several major stages throughout his career. Although WWE reportedly had plans for Lesnar to face Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania this year, the match did not happen. According to Dutch Mantell, Lesnar made the right decision.
Wyatt returned to WWE in October 2021 after being away for over a year and has since been feuding with LA Knight. Recent reports suggest that WWE wanted Wyatt to face Lesnar at WrestleMania 39, but Lesnar apparently declined the proposed match against the former WWE Universal champion. Lesnar will now face Omos at this year’s WrestleMania instead.
On a recent episode of his podcast Story Time with Dutch Mantell, the wrestling veteran shared his thoughts on Lesnar’s decision. Mantell discussed the potential reasons why Lesnar may have turned down the opportunity to face Wyatt.
Mantell emphasized that Lesnar is a multi-millionaire who doesn’t need to work if he doesn’t want to. Lesnar would have walked out of the company if WWE forced him to participate in an angle he didn’t like. Mantell also noted that Lesnar has built a reputation as a dominant force in WWE, and facing Wyatt in a “lesser” angle would not have helped his legacy.
Although Lesnar is set to face Omos at WrestleMania 39, Wyatt’s role in the event is still unknown. Fans will have to wait and see how WWE incorporates Wyatt into their plans for WrestleMania 39.
