WWE Raw Match Pulled For Being ‘Terrible’

AJ Styles is certainly one of the top Superstars in the WWE roster. However, the Phenomenal One has missed out on WWE television for the past couple of weeks on Monday Night RAW. AJ Styles and Edge were pulled from WWE RAW as well.

AJ Styles and Omos were set to square off against each other on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW. However, that did not end up happening as Omos did not come out. Instead of him, Apollo Crews and Commander Azeez came out instead. AJ Styles defeated Apollo Crews with ease and then continued his feud with NXT 2.0 star Grayson Waller as well.

According to Dave Meltzer on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, the match might have been called due to Styles and Omos’ match at the Madison Square Garden Live event being especially bad.

“The Garden match with AJ and Omos, I was told was absolutely horrible. So it is possible they decided at the last minute, like, why put a horrible match on TV? So, um, maybe that’s it. Or maybe it’s COVID, I don’t know.

It was a weird thing, they way they handled it, because they announced the match at the start of the show. And then all of a sudden, late in the show, you know, AJ goes ‘Come on out, let’s do the match,’ and he’s not there, and Apollo Crews and Commander Azeez come out. So, that was really weird and awkward to say the least.”

WWE Hall Of Famer Edge is without a shadow of a doubt one of the best heels to have ever stepped foot inside a WWE ring. ‘The Rated R Superstar’ made his return at last year’s WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view after a long hiatus of nine years, following a career-ending neck injury. He would then compete in a couple of amazing matches against Randy Orton. Edge was then unable to defeat Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan to win the WWE Universal Championship on Night Two of WrestleMania 37. Edge’s bold text messages to WWE RAW Superstar also leaked recently.
