WWE RAW Results (11/25): Chicago, IL

The November 25th, 2019 edition of WWE RAW aired live on the USA Network from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, IL.

 


 

– Seth Rollins comes out to the ring, which is surrounded by many members of the RAW roster. We’re told this is Seth Rollins’ “Town Hall” segment where he is going to address the locker room. The crowd chants for CM Punk, and Rollins says he tried to get Punk here, but Punk would rather be on WWE Backstage. Seth says that NXT mopped the floor with them, and he is ashamed of what this show has become. He says that every single person dropped the ball here tonight, and they need to fix it and make this place great again.

Seth singles out Randy Orton, who is standing at ringside. He calls Orton the weak link of the squad last night, and tells him to come in the ring and say something. Orton declines and leaves up the ramp. Rollins says Orton isn’t a leader, and Rollins will keep sticking his own neck out for the RAW brand. Seth singles out Charlotte next as says she was supposed to lead the ladies to victory last night. She also leaves. He tells the AOP they could have used them last night, but they weren’t there so they don’t need them tonight either. AOP leaves up the ramp. Seth asks if anyone wants to step up and say something. He singles out Rey next and says he let them all down. Seth say Rey couldn’t get the job done even with a lead pipe and his stupid kid helping him. Rey leaves, and most of the other wrestlers around the ring leave too.

Kevin Owens stays behind, and he steps into the ring with Rollins. Seth talks about how he loves this place, and all he does is think about how it can be better. He says he sleeps, eats and breathes Monday Night RAW and he wants it to be the best place on the planet. Rollins calls out Owens and says he’ll never be on Rollins’ level. Rollins says he doesn’t mean it in a bad way, but Owens has heard enough and he gives Rollins a Stunner. Owens leaves as Rollins recovers in the ring.

– Back from the commercial break, Seth Rollins is backstage for an interview. Rollins says he’s trying to do the right thing and get the RAW brand back on track. Since Rollins wants to give him a Stunner, he’s calling out Owens for a match right here tonight.

– Bobby Lashley and Lana come out. We see footage from earlier today of Rusev being served with a temporary restraining order against Lana. As a result, Rusev was denied entry to the arena tonight.

Bobby Lashley vs. Titus O’Neil: They lock up off the opening bell and they back into the corner. Titus and Lashley trade big strikes now, and Titus hits some loud chops to the chest. Titus charges, and Lashley shuts him down with a spinebuster. Rusev suddenly hits the ring and attacks Lashley. The ref calls for the bell.

Winner via DQ: Bobby Lashley

– Rusev knocks Lashley down to the ringside floor, then pummels on him on the floor. Rusev throws Lashley into the ring steps and the fan barricade. Lashley fights back and they brawl up the ramp. Rusev throws Lashley into a screen on the stage, then they fight over to the announce table. Rusev wastes some time yelling at Lana, then he goes back over to Lashley on the table. Police run over and arrest Rusev. Rusev, while handcuffed, runs over and shoulder tackles Lashley off the stage down to the floor. Rusev struggles with the police and he kicks over a giant party of the stage, but it looks like it doesn’t land on Lashley. The police finally haul off Rusev.

– Back from the commercial break, we see footage of Lashley being taken away on a stretcher.

AOP vs. Hawkins & Ryder: Akam starts off laying into Hawkins with strikes. Rezar tags in for the Last Chapter double team on Hawkins. Rezar pulls Ryder into the ring now and beats on him too. Akam tags back in for Death Valley Drivers on Hawkins and Ryder into opposite turnbuckles in tandem. They hit the Super Collider on Hawkins and Ryder. Rezar tags back in for another double team on Hawkins for the three count after a short squash match.

Winners: AOP

– Still to come: Charlotte vs. Asuka; and AJ Styles defends his U.S. Title against Humberto Carrillo

Akira Tozawa vs. Andrade: Zelina Vega is at ringside. The opening bell sounds and Andrade controls the opening moments of this one. Rusev makes quick work of Tozawa, and he scores the pinfall after the running knee strike in the corner and the hammerlock DDT.

Winner: Rusev

– We see a pre-taped promo from Aleister Black.

– Matt Hardy comes out to the ring next wearing his old school ring attire.

Matt Hardy vs. Buddy Murphy: The opening bell sounds and Murphy starts off strong with strikes on Hardy. Hardy starts to fight back, but Murphy dumps him outside and throws him into the fan barricade. Back in the ring, Matt fights back and hits the Side Effect. They fight back and forth, and Matt hits a flying elbow off the middle rope. Matt looks for the Twist of Fate, but Murphy reverses it and hits a knee to the face. Murphy hits another knee to the face for the three count.

Winner: Buddy Murphy

– After the match, Buddy Murphy calls out Aleister Black, and Black runs out. They start brawling in the ring, and Aleister connects with a spinning back elbow and a boot to the face. Buddy rolls outside and retreats up the ramp.

– Back from the commercial break, we see a replay of Seth Rollins’ “Town Hall” segment at the start of the show. Owens vs. Rollins is officially booked for later tonight.

AJ Styles (c) vs. Humberto Carrillo: AJ’s U.S. Title is on the line in this one. Before the match, Gallows and Anderson attack Humberto at ringside. Gallows slams him on the floor, then Anderson throws him into the ring steps. Gallows and Anderson give Humberto the Magic Killer on top of the steel steps at ringside.

Winner: No contest

– Ricochet comes down to check on Humberto. AJ is in the ring now with Gallows and Anderson, and AJ gets on the mic. AJ says it doesn’t sound like Humberto will be able to compete tonight. AJ says Ricochet isn’t much of a super hero, since he didn’t make it out in time to save his little buddy Humberto. Ricochet gets on the mic at ringside and tells AJ to look at what he’s become. Ricochet wants to take Humberto’s spot tonight, but AJ says no. Randy Orton comes out to interrupt, and he also wants a shot at AJ’s U.S. Title. AJ reminds Orton that the last time they competed was in a bigger and better city, and AJ beat him. AJ says he has nothing to prove to guys he’s already beaten. Drew McIntyre interrupts next. Drew gets on the mic and says AJ has never faced him, and he’s never had a singles Title opportunity, so he wants the U.S. Title shot. AJ says he’s sore from stealing the show at Survivor Series last night. Rey Mysterio interrupts next. Rey says he’s the one who went through battle with Brock Lesnar last night, but he’s not complaining like AJ is. Rey says he’s not going to let AJ cheat the people out of a Title match tonight, and Rey wants the shot. AJ says none of them have earned a Title shot, and AJ says no to Rey too. Ricochet says he, Rey, Drew, and Orton should have a Fatal 4 Way tonight, and the winner faces AJ after. AJ doesn’t like the idea, but Gallows and Anderson seem to like the idea. AJ changes his mind and agrees that if they have their Fatal 4 Way match, he’ll face the winner.

Ricochet vs. Randy Orton vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Drew McIntyre: Ricochet starts off with a flurry of offense in this one. Orton and Drew eventually form a temporary alliance and overpower both Ricochet and Rey. Rey starts firing up now and he takes out both Orton and Drew. Rey and Ricochet go at it in the corner now and fight up to the top turnbuckle. Drew runs over to the corner and gets involved, and Ricochet ends up hanging Drew upside down in the corner. Rey and Ricochet are still on the top rope, then Randy Orton runs over too. Orton shoves Ricochet out to ringside, then Randy climbs up with Rey. Orton looks for a superplex, but Drew sits up and gives Orton a German suplex off the corner, and as a result Rey goes flying too. The OC comes down the ramp for a closer look now. Ricochet gets back in the ring and levels Drew with a kick to the face. Ricochet starts going at it with Orton now, but Orton turns it into a draping DDT for a two count. Drew and Orton start trading loud chops to the chest now, and Orton ends the exchange with a poke to the eyes. Orton takes Drew into the corner now for a series of European uppercuts. Orton has a big mark on his chest from Drew’s chops. Drew comes back with a headbutt, then Ricochet comes flying with a shot off the top on Drew. Ricochet follows up with a standing shooting star press. Ricochet kicks Rey off the apron, then goes back to Drew. Ricochet rolls up Drew for two, then Drew fires back with a big boot. Drew picks up Ricochet dead weight for a powerbomb for a two count of his own. Drew sets up for a Claymore kick, but Orton interrupts it with an RKO. Orton pins, but The OC pulls Orton outside to break it up. The announcers remind us there are no DQs in a Fatal 4 Way. Rey comes in and leaps at Ricochet and latches on to him. Rey turns this into a small package pin for the three count.

Winner & new #1 contender for the U.S. Title: Rey Mysterio

– Back from the break, it’s time for our United State Championship match.

AJ Styles (c) vs. Rey Mysterio: Gallows and Anderson are still at ringside. AJ controls the opening moments of this one and tries to keep Rey grounded. Rey starts mounting a comeback and he looks for a springboard moonsault, but AJ catches him. Rey escapes and shoves AJ into the ring post. Rey connects with a kick to the face, then he looks for the 619, but Karl Anderson trips him from ringside. The ref ejects Anderson and Gallows from ringside. AJ looks for a baseball slide dropkick on Rey in the corner, but Rey dodges it and AJ slams into the ring post crotch-first. Rey goes up to the top rope and hits a flying seated senton on AJ. Rey hits a hurricanrana, then he pummels on AJ’s head. Rey hits a bulldog for a two count. Rey looks for a shot off the top, but AJ catches him in the fireman’s carry and gives him a neckbreaker across the knee for a two count. Rey reverses a Styles Clash attempt for a near fall. Rey sends AJ into the ropes and hits the 619. AJ falls into the ref, and the ref goes down. Anderson and Gallows run back out and start beating on Rey while the ref is down. Randy Orton runs out and takes out Gallows and Anderson. Orton looks for a cheap shot on AJ, but AJ stops him. AJ misses a Phenomneal Forearm on Randy, and this leads to Rey hitting the 619 on AJ. Orton then hits the RKO on AJ. Rey comes flying off the top with a frogsplash for the three count, and we have a new United States Champion.

Winner & new U.S. Champion: Rey Mysterio

– After the match, Rey’s son Dominic comes out to celebrate the Title win.

– Kevin Owens is backstage for an interview. Owens takes issue with Rollins’ message earlier in the night. He says the biggest difference between them, is Owens knows who he is, and Seth doesn’t. Owens says Rollins is a whining, insufferable prick now, and he’s got another Stunner coming his way. He says he’s going to turn Monday Night Rollins into the Kevin Owens Show.

Charlotte vs. Asuka: Kairi Sane is at ringside for this one. Asuka taunts Charlotte after the opening bell, and Charlotte decks her with an elbow to the face, then pummels on her. They fight out to ringside and Charlotte throws Asuka into the barricade. Back in the ring, Sane causes a distraction, which leads to Asuka attacking Charlotte from behind. Charlotte comes back and slams Asuka down. Asuka finally mounts some good offense, and she hits a series of kicks on Charlotte. Asuka connects with a spinning back elbow, then Charlotte fires back with a big boot. Kairi Sane gets involved again, and this time Charlotte chases her out through the crowd. Back in the ring, Charlotte misses a shot and Asuka kicks her in the face. Charlotte comes back with a kick of her own. Charlotte misses a big boot and Asuka answers with a German suplex. Asuka applies the Asuka Lock, but Charlotte reverses it into a pin for a two count. Charlotte hits a clothesline, then hits some chops to the chest. Charlotte follows up with a fallaway slam. Some back and forth now until Asuka hits a Codebreaker for a two count. Asuka attempts several submissions now. Charlotte turns it around into a Boston Crab, but Asuka reaches the bottom rope. Charlotte stomps on Asuka’s knee against the middle rope. Asuka comes back with a kick, and Charlotte drops her with a spear. Sane comes back, and Charlotte chases her again and catches her this time. Charlotte slams Sane into the ring post, then goes back in the ring. Asuka spits the green mist in Charltote’s eyes then pins for the three count.

Winner: Asuka

– Asuka and Sane celebrate at ringside while Charlotte sells the green mist in the ring.

Eric Rowan vs. Enhancement talent: Rowan comes out with his cage with a sheet over it. We see a pre-taped video of Rowan talking to whatever is inside his mystery cage. The jobber tries to look under the sheet on the cage at ringside, and Rowan doesn’t like that. Rowan beats him down around ringside and slams him into the ring steps. Back in he ring, Rowan hits the Iron Claw, then hits it again. Rowan pins with one foot for the three count.

Winner: Eric Rowan

– They air a WWE Shop promo with The Iiconics and R-Truth.

– Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins are shown on the split screen warming up for their match, up next.

– The OC is backstage for an interview. AJ is speechless, and all he can manage to say is “Randy Orton.” The OC walks off.

– Vic Joseph and Jerry Lawler send us to a video package looking at the angle with Rusev and Lashley tonight.

– Lana is backstage for an interview. She says her soon to be ex-husband Rusev is a danger to society, and she is looking for multiple restraining orders. Lana says his actions tonight are proof that WWE should fire Rusev and send him back to Bulgaria. Lana says despite the traumatic experience, she’s going to be okay. We dont hear if Lashley is going to be okay.

Seth Rollins vs. Kevin Owens: Owens looks for a Stunner right off the opening bell, but Rollins pushes him off and rolls outside. Owens follows and beats down Rollins at ringside before taking him back in the ring. Owens dominates the opening moments of this one. Rollins mounts a comeback and hits a Sling Blade. Rollins knocks Owens out to ringside with a running knee strike, then hits a dive on him on the floor. Rollins runs back in the ring and hits a second dive, then takes Owens back in the ring. Seth looks for a springboard knee off the top, but Owens ducks then superkicks Rollins. Seth grabs a chair from ringside and the ref tries to stop him. Rollins doesn’t use the chair, and back in the ring Owens drops him. Owens looks for a Swanton Bomb off the top, but Rollins blocks it with his knees. Rollins tries to keep Owens grounded now and applies a rear chin lock. Owens fights up, but Rollins continues the assault with a series of chops and headbutts. They run the ropes and Owens fights back with a DDT. Rollins misses a splash in the corner, and Owens capitlizes with a cannonball splash on Seth. Owens goes up top, and Rollins rolls out to ringside. Owens runs on the apron and hits a Swanton Bomb on Rollins on the ringisde floor. Back in the ring, Owens hits a frogsplash off the top for a two count. Owens looks for a Popup Powerbomb, but Rollins escapes. Rollins looks for the Pedigree, but Owens escapes. Rollins comes back with the Blockbuster off the turnbuckle for a two count. Rollins follows up with a Falcon Arrow for another two count. Rollins misses the curb stomp, but he still rolls up Owens in a small package for a two count. Rollins misses another shot, and Owens comes back with the Popup Powerbomb for a two count. Owens misses a Stunner attempt. Rollins and Owens trade superkicks now, and Rollins gets the upper hand. Rollins hits another superkick, then he looks for the Curb Stomp, but Owens gets up and hits the Stunner. Both men are down. AOP walks out of the ring in street clothes. They get in stand between Rollins and Owens. Owens attacks first and slaps Akam across the face, then Akam and Rezar beat down Owens.

Winner via DQ: Kevin Owens

– The AOP throws Owens into the ring post over and over, then they kick his head against the post. They give Owens a double team knee to the face next. Now they turn to face Rollins. Rollins gets up and tells them to bring it, but the AOP just turns around and leaves. The AOP heads up the ramp, then Rollins gives Owens the Curb Stomp in the ring while Owens is down. Rollins hits another Curb Stomp on Owens as RAW goes off the air.
