We recently reported that current WWE Raw Women’s champion Askua would not be able make an appearance during the most recent edition of WWE Monday Night Raw. This is due to a legitimately injury by Shayna Baszler during a tag team match the week prior in which Baszler delivered a stiff kick to the WWE Raw Women’s champion head, knocking a tooth out. In an update to this story, it is now being speculated that Asuka might, in fact, have a concussion.
Meltzer made the following comment during a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, stating “She probably got a concussion, too. I’m relatively certain she got a concussion because when nobody says it, that’s usually what it means.”
This week’s WWE Raw, which took place from the WWE Thunderdome at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida might have not seen Asuka appear on the show, physically or otherwise but her presence was felt as former WWWE Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte took it upon herself to issue a challenge to ‘The Empress of Tomorrow’ for her championship when she recovers from her injuries. It was teased that this matchup could take place at WrestleMania 37, however, with the extent of Asuka’s injuries it is unclear whether or not a potential Asuka Vs. Charlotte Flair match would be moved down the road. Asuka’s real reason for missing Elimination Chamber leaked not too long ago.
