WWE Real Reason For Brand Split Leaks

This year’s edition of the WWE Draft was held from Friday Night Smackdown this week and now will be taking place on Monday Night RAW next week. WWE Draft is also likely to debut an ex-world champion.

The company insists on keeping the brand split alive and it seems there is a legitimate reason for that. According to a report from Fightful Select, USA Network “enjoys” the unique rosters.

Those that we spoke with at USA Network noted that they enjoy the unique rosters a brand split provided, and that the prevailing thought is that they prefer that continue.

It was also said that “ideally, every network would want Tom Brady, but they won’t get him every week.”

LA Knight, formerly Eli Drake of TNA, made his way to NXT and certainly has impressed fans and pro wrestlers alike with his in-ring skills and promos. He is also already booked for a match on NXT next week against Odyssey Jones.

Adrian Zarian recently spoke on the Mat Men Pro Wrestling Podcast, where he revealed that some NXT Superstars will be drafted during this year’s edition of the WWE Draft. This might included The Hit Row and even LA Knight.

“I was told that everybody is under the assumption that NXT talent is going to be involved in the Draft. It’s gonna be one-sided, it’s not gonna be two sides; but don’t be shocked if you see a main roster Superstar go down to NXT every now and then, like a Mandy Rose, you know someone like that.

It is interesting, because Hit Row is a name that people have thrown out there, LA Knight is a name that people have thrown out there.”
