Kurt Angle announced his Wrestlemania opponent this week on RAW. He chose Baron Corbin to be his final opponent and fans and wrestlers alike hated the decision. It seems that the backlash from the fans might have made WWE change their minds on this match.
The opinion of the fans matters to the WWE, so they try to give them what they want. However, that wasn’t the case regarding this match. They also don’t want the WrestleMania crowd hating on whatever they do for Kurt Angle’s farewell match.
Now Wrestle Votes reports that WWE might be reconsidering the Wrestlemania match due to the negative reception from the fans. So a swap might be expected.
From a source: Angle vs Corbin is being “reconsidered”.
WWE did not expect this type of negative reaction, and thus, they don’t want such a negative feel to Kurt’s final contest.
While WWE loves to get heat, this was certainly not what they had intended since no one wants this match and WWE seems to understand that. Hopefully, they book a better match for Kurt.
