NXT has arguably the best pool of talents in all of WWE and it is its own brand now, no longer simply being the developmental brand of WWE. There are a good few Superstars in NXT that are very likely to be called up to the main roster and that includes former NXT Champion Karrion Kross.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about Kross’ current status in NXT. Meltzer noted that WWE is currently grooming Karrion Kross for a main roster debut. On the other hand, a select few NXT Superstars are not receiving the same treatment. This includes the members of The Undisputed Era.
Meltzer noted that WWE will not call up Roderick Strong despite him being a superior worker to Karrion Kross.
“Karrion Kross is being groomed for the main roster. Roderick Strong, who can work rings around Karrion Kross, might never be on the main roster. It’s just how it is. They can’t wait to get Karrion Kross on the main roster. He has to get through whatever he’s getting through [in NXT] to get him there, but he’s on the fast track for that.”
Meltzer also noted that WWE has no intention of calling up Adam Cole to the main roster.
