Enzo Amore released by WWE amid rape allegations

WWE.com has announced WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore has been released from his contract, and it’s worth noting there is not the usual line in the statement about wishing the wrestler well in their future endeavors.

As we reported on Monday, a woman had made an allegation that Amore raped here and he was subsequently suspended.

I was just on Youtube and they mentioned “Morality” and some code by WWE that if anything happens, you have to let WWE know otherwise they have every right to terminate, suspend him or fine at their discretion and he did have heat with official. I never knew about this.

Bad Behavior or Issues with officials, how many times have we heard past and present wrestlers tell these story because they don’t take no BS and are then looked at as leaders in the locker room and gains respects? Several.

But an issue where your accused and fired seemed harsh to me. I can see a suspension or a fine for not letting WWE know about this but not terminated unless proven guilty. But their Morality code is binding I guess.

  • Arnold Jackson

Absolutely. Sadly tho it is often guilty until you are proven innocent. With Enzo there would also seem to be a history of bad behavior behind the scenes to add to this that would give the WWE the feeling he just might be guilty. Not saying he is and he deserves the doubt but…… man are you surprised?

  • Brad Grillakis

yea you make a good point but recently with accusation of sexual harassment being thrown out, it’s like people are taking their word and firing the guy without due process or an investigation which is why to me it’s a rush to judgement.

how you going to rush on this, wait on the paige incident you mentioned AND I will add wait until due process in court regarding Rich Swann? I feel you and know you feel me on this too.

  • Arnold Jackson

They didn’t fire Paige when she slapped Del Rio in an airport. A fight she told the police she started because she was in a bad mood. The system isn’t quite equal. Then again neither is life but you get my point.

  • Arnold Jackson

The guy did lawyer up according to his twitter page.

  • Kristopher Robinson

I Agree. There’s a list of what’s this chick has lied about in the past. I’m sure she is making it up, maybe not all of it, but I’m sure she wasn’t raped.

  • Brad Grillakis

i didn’t see the suspension one until after this one. Besides wwe “No Tolerance” they don’t have to wait if their is evidence or not to let an employees go. So it’s not far fetch to jump to that conclusion.

  • Conlan Jason

No need for the “fucking”, you fucking dumbass.

  • CC

12 Man Cruiserweight Royal Rumble on the pre-show ha ha
Maybe even make it a 13 man rumble and have Neville return.

  • Kayfabe_Is_Dead

AKA – Cruiserweight Championship Tournament announcement coming tonight.

  • Jason Conlan

    You fucking idiot.

  • wwemrpeeps85

No she just seemed based off her profile that she was lying also she admitted to lying about being pregnet to in past and other stuff

  • Asko Kafedzic

What a horrible thing to say, what is on her Instagram is irrelevant no woman deserves to be raped. That’s like saying oh she was wearing a short skirt so she was asking for it

  • Thomas Murray

Remember that happen here in Ireland a few yrs back when a bitc h did the same to 4 young blokes and next day they are fired, faces on every newspaper and just for the sweetener ran out of Ireland by ex IRA terrorists , 2 months later proven it never happen

  • M

Sad that we’ll never get the big payoff with the Nia Jax love angle.

  • wwemrpeeps85

I agree with Brad and if look at her Instagram she seemed like a major whore so wouldn’t be surprised if she made it up.

  • CC

They suspended him, which is pretty much the best thing for him and the company. For them to fire him the next day, something must have happened. Whether it be more evidence showing up, him causing trouble over the suspension or maybe even asking for his own release.

Fact is, you are jumping to a conclusion and damning WWE before the evidence is available as well.

At this moment in time, neither party should be judged.

  • Brad Grillakis

whatever happened to “innocent until proven guilty?” Women lie too against men. Look at stripper Vs La Cross player rape case where she got caught lying or several cases on youtube. Sounds like a rush to judgement b/c it’s just accusation.

  • Darrin Tyler

Yes! I’m so happy right now. Finally don’t have to see his gross face on raw ever again
