WWE releases first match of United Kingdom Championship Tournament on YouTube

Yesterday, Vic Joseph revealed on 205 Live that the WWE will begin releasing the first round matches of the United Kingdom Championship Tournament on “social media.”

WWE released a quick video on their YouTube channel on June 11, revealing the winners of the first round matches, except for one which did not take place at the Download Festival.

Today, the company released a first-round match on their channel, Drew Gulak vs Jack Gallagher. The 205 Live mainstays did not have their match at the Festival, instead fighting in between NXT tapings.

Gulak and Gallagher have started teaming together, along with Brian Kendrick, to face off against 205 Live’s resident luchador team, Lucha House Party. The two villains began the match with a handshake before working a highly technical grappling showcase.

Stay tuned to WWE’s social media accounts to see when more matches may appear.

  • Really? I’ve always been more of a Gulak fan. I wasn’t entirely shocked that he lost here, though.

Hell I could’ve called that one. Gallagher is much better in the ring than Gulak, and slightly more popular as well. No wonder they scripted him to win.
