WWE releases long-time writer

WWE is still making several changes it seems. They hired many backstage producers and now it seems the writing staff is getting changes too.

Fightful reports that Ryan Callahan was fired from WWE last week. Callahan was a lead writer for the company for many years.

According to the report, it is said that him being fired “had nothing to do with the ratings, viewership, storylines, or anything of that sort.” It went beyond that.

It is said that the firing was due to issues Callahan had with Dave Kapoor who is better known as Rainjin Singh when he was wrestled in the ring. Kapoor believed that Callahan set a bad example for the rest of the writing team since he took the changes in creative far too seriously.

So, Callahan showed enough displeasure in WWE’s decisions that he was let go so as to not influence others to take things so personally.
