WWE releases statement on relocating Smackdown due to Coronavirus

WWE Friday Night SmackDown will be taking place this week, but it will not be in Detroit as planned. It seems the coronavirus has made the company relocate the show.

WWE has released an official statement regarding the relocation. The company definitely is moving the show due to coronavirus. The new location will be the WWE Performance Center in Orlando.

“Friday Night SmackDown on March 13 will air live as regularly scheduled and emanate from WWE’s training facility in Orlando, Florida with only essential personnel in attendance. The event was originally scheduled in Detroit, Michigan.”

WWE NXT was held at the WWE Performance Center this week, but that was due to the Full Sail University being double-booked for a Hall Of Fame gathering.

Jeff Hardy, John Cena and Paige will all be returning on this week’s Smackdown.
