WWE reportedly sending fewer talents to Saudi Arabia due to Crown Jewel travel woes

The last WWE show in Crown Jewel not only made many headlines for its matches but the event was also in news due to the travel woes talents had to face while trying to leave the country after the event.

Due to the stars being stranded in the country, WWE had to make major changes to the following episode of SmackDown and it appears that the company has learned their lesson from the incident.

Bryan Alvarez talked about the upcoming show recently and revealed that the company is sending far less talents to the show compared to last time. Here is what he said:

“Far less people are going to Saudi Arabia which means the last time they went to Saudi Arabia — remember the last time they went to Saudi Arabia and they had that issue where they were stuck for 28 straight hours and a bunch of the wrestlers talked about how they’re never gonna go back and I listened to people go ‘It’s just a mechanical issue, it’s not a big deal — nothing’s wrong EVERYTHING IS OKAY!’ Well, here we are it’s the next Saudi Arabia show and coincidentally a bunch of those people who one of whom’s wife used the words ‘hostage situation’ to describe it they low and behold aren’t going back, but hey — it was just mechanical issues, everybody.”

The Super Showdown event is scheduled to take place from the Mohammed Abdu Arena on the Boulevard in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on February 27, 2020.
