WWE Chairman Vince McMahon has the final say in anything and everything that goes on in the company, for better or worse. Vince McMahon also sabotaged Jon Moxley’s matches.

Vince McMahon has been WWE Chairman since 1982 when he, along with his wife Linda had purchased WWE from his father Vince Sr and his partners, Gorilla Monsoon, Arnold Skaaland & Phil Zacko. McMahon saw various changes in his company over the last few decades as well. All through that, he continued to adapt to the changing times. However, many fans now feel that he is out of touch and simply has no idea what is good for a WWE Superstar. The WWE Chairman is larger than life in many ways and he also has his peculiarities.

Vince McMahon’s mother Vicki Askew sadly passed away at the age of 101 recently, which was revealed by her obituary.

Vicki Askew passed away quietly of natural causes at her home in The Woodlands, Texas on 20 January. She was born on 11 July 1920 in Florence, South Carolina, and was the only daughter of parents Orpheus William Hanner and Victoria Kennedy Hanner.

Vicki gave birth to Vince on 24 August 1945 and he eventually became the chairman of WWE. Our thoughts and prayers are with Vicki’s family and friends during this sad time.

In other news regarding Vince McMahon, during a recent edition of the ever-popular ‘Something to Wrestle’ podcast with Bruce Prichard, it was revealed what happened after the 2005 Royal Rumble event where McMahon infamously tore both of his quads and the backstage reaction. The director of WWE Smackdown and RAW stated he didn’t even know about the double injury until long after. Credit to Wrestling Inc for the below quote.

“No, I don’t remember seeing him slide in,” Prichard said. “We were trying to do a million different things and talk to a million different people trying to figure out what to do and you look up and Vince is sitting on the apron yelling at everybody. It’s like okay, what the hell is going on here? We restarted the match and got our finish.”
