Vince McMahon runs WWE the way he wants it to and he can stop any Superstar’s push if he so desires. That is what happened with Cedric Alexander.
Cedric Alexander featured in high profile matches and was on the receiving end of a push, but then his push was suddenly stopped. It seems Vince McMahon has lost interest in Alexander as he failed to get the reception McMahon wanted.
Some rumors suggest that while Alexander is well-liked backstage, it is possible he has done something to upset someone important in the company.
Humberto Carrillo was also pushed by Vince McMahon, but he seems to have lost faith in him as well. Perhaps McMahon will give Alexander a push again eventually.
