FightfulSelect.com have reported about tonight’s WWE SmackDown:
– Bray Wyatt is set to be a focal point of Smackdown. We’re told the mask that they’re bringing in for him to use is called an “uncle Howdy” mask internally. There are also plans to have the abandoned Firefly Funhouse set aesthetic.
– LA Knight vs. Mansoor
– Kofi Kingston vs. Sami Zayn
– IC Title Contender Match: Sheamus vs. Ricochet vs. Solo Sikoa vs. Karrion Kross
– MVP, Xavier Woods, Shotzi are all scheduled to be in town for the show despite not being advertised.
Adam Cole is an experienced superstar that has years of experience under his belt, but it looks like things may be off for the former WWE superstar. He joined AEW in 2021 after his WWE contract expired. He ensured that the storylines were exciting at all times.
September 2021 saw Cole debut after his NXT: TakeOver 36 two-out-of-three falls match with Kyle O’Riley. Kyle joined him in AEW shortly after. Cole last performed inside the ring at the AEWxNJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view, where he participated in a fatal four-way match for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship against champion Jay White, “Hangman” Adam Page, and Kazuchika Okada.
The 33-year-old was already dealing with a torn labrum heading into the crossover event but suffered a concussion during the four-way bout, which saw a rushed finish as a result. While his injury is deemed serious, and he won’t be returning until he is a hundred percent, another person making the news is Saraya, f.k.a. Paige.
Paige was not at the Toronto show, and fans were speculating about what could be the reason behind this absence. Saraya cleared the air after she responded to a fan who asked her the same question. She said that she had to take a trip to the UK for some personal reasons.
Notably, a family relative passed away recently and Saraya informed about it on her Twitter account. She may have been there to pay her last tributes to the departed soul. While she missed the Toronto show, she promised to be back in Cincinnati for the AEW show.
