We are live on tape from Lexington, Kentucky and your announcers are Todd ‘Something seems different tonight’ Grisham and Michael ‘He is taking a few days off, nothing more to read into it’ Cole.

We begin with a graphic paying tribute to Captain Lou Albano, who passed away this week.

General Manager Teddy Long comes out to address the fans. He reminds us that next Sunday is Bragging Rights. Teddy talks about the seven on seven tag team match between Raw and Smackdown to prove which team is the superior show. Teddy says that he will uphold the history and heritage of Smackdown as the dominant show. In order to counter Degeneration X, Kofi Kingston, Big Show, Mark Henry, Jack Swagger, and Cody Rhodes; he brings out the captain of Team Smackdown Chris Jericho.

Jericho takes the mic and he walks to the ring. Chris says that after years of incompetence, politics, and prejudice Teddy made him the captain of Team Smackdown. Jericho starts off by talking about the possibility of coming back to Smackdown. When Randy Orton wins at Bragging Rights, Cena will want to return to where he started. However, things have changed because he is the man on Smackdown. Jericho says that nobody has been more dominant or successful that him. Jericho tells Cena that he will have to go through him. Jericho says that he has led the locker room by honesty and integrity. He is the reason why the parasites are in the building tonight. Jericho says that as captain, he will put together a team that will listen to his every word so he can lead them to the promised land. They will beat a Raw team led by two delinquents who have written a book that Jericho happens to have in his hand. He talks about how the fans have bought everything that they push. Jericho starts ripping up the pages in the book. Jericho says that is what he will do to DX at Bragging Rights. He will open their eyes and they will truly see . . .

Kane’s pyro goes off and his music plays as he comes to the ring. Kane asks Jericho about ‘his team’ and then he says that he needs to talk. Kane says that he has been listening to his every word and Kane says that he is now the co-captain of Team Smackdown.

Jericho says that he was thinking the same thing and he was going to announce that. The combination of Kane’s strength and Jericho’s intelligence they cannot lose. Kane says that the entire Raw team can go up in flames. Kane summons the fire from the ring posts.

Match Number One: Finlay versus Mike Knox versus Dolph Ziggler in a Bragging Rights Qualifying Match

It looks like Knox and Ziggler are going to work together to attack Finlay but Knox clotheslines Ziggler instead. Knox charges at Finlay and Knox goes over the top rope to the floor. Finlay with a kick to Knox. Finlay with an Irish whip and shoulders in the corner. Ziggler with a kick and then he clotheslines Finlay over the top rope to the floor. Ziggler waits on the apron and Knox knocks Ziggler off the apron. Knox tries for an elbow from the apron but he lands on the ring skirt. Ziggler with a drop kick to Finlay on the floor and then Knox and Ziggler return to the ring to battle. Ziggler gets a near fall and hits a leaping elbow drop. Finlay covers Ziggler and then hits a short arm clothesline. Finlay with a European uppercut and slam for a near fall. Finlay with a head butt and Ziggler with a punch. Finlay puts Ziggler on the top turnbuckle but Ziggler punches Finlay. Knox hits an electric chair drop on Finlay. Ziggler with a splash from the top onto Finlay but he can only get a two count. Knox kicks Ziggler and punches him. Knox with a suplex for another near fall. Knox covers Finlay but can only get a near fall. Ziggler with a leg lariat but Finlay breaks up the cover. Finlay with a European uppercut but Ziggler responds with punches. Ziggler with a drop kick on Finlay and gets a near fall. Ziggler charges into a boot from Finlay and then Finlay hits the fireman’s carry slam on Ziggler. Finlay does the same to Knox. Knox runs Finlay into the turnbuckles and then Ziggler with a splash into the corner on Finlay. Knox with a splash to Ziggler and Finlay. Knox with a bicycle kick to Ziggler and then Finlay hits Knox with the shillelagh. Finlay gets a near fall when Ziggler pulls Finlay off. Ziggler gets the three count on Knox.
Winner: Dolph Ziggler

We go to commercial.

Match Number Two: Cryme Tyme versus David Hart Smith and Tyson Kidd with Natalya in a Bragging Rights Qualifying Match

Shad and Smith start things off and Smith knocks JTG off the apron while Natalya and Kidd distract Shad to allow Smith to attack him from behind. Smith works on the knee and then Kidd puts Shad in a modified Sharpshooter around the ring post.

We see Chris Jericho and Teddy Long watching the match from the Playa’s Lounge.

Back in the ring, Smith with a step over toe hold as he continues to work on Shad’s leg. Smith with an ankle lock. Smith misses an elbow drop and then he connects with an elbow and makes the tag to JTG. Kidd also tags in but JTG with a flip shoulder tackle followed by a drop kick. He knocks Smith off the apron to return the favor from the start of the match and then he avoids a charge by Kidd into the corner. JTG with an X Factor for a near fall. JTG with a kick and then he gets distracted by Smith, allowing Kidd to get a rollup but JTG sends Kidd into Smith and Smith goes to the floor. Shad with a clothesline on the floor. Kidd gets a rollup and then he drops JTG on the top rope. JTG avoids a springboard move and he hits a wraparound clothesline for the three count.
Winners: Cryme Tyme

We are back and Chris Jericho is with Teddy Long and Michelle McCool. Chris talks about the type of people he needs to help show Smackdown’s dominance. He says that he cannot count on John Morrison to beat the Miz. He wants to know if he can trust Michelle to win her match. Michelle says that she can beat any Diva on any show in any type of match.

The newest member of the Smackdown roster, Mickie James stopped by and she is happy to be on Smackdown since they traded for her. Mickie suggests if they want someone to win at the pay per view, they should have someone who has beaten every Diva. Beth is also in the room and she tells Michelle not to expect to hold the title too long.

Vince McMahon is on the phone in the back and he is interrupted by CM Punk. Punk complains about the Fatal Four Way Match at Bragging Rights and Vince says that is why Teddy is still on probation. Punk agrees with Vince’s decision. Punk says that he deserves a one-on-one match. Vince says that he likes the idea of a Submission Match between Punk and Taker and then Vince waxes poetic on what happened in Montreal. Vince says that he wishes he could have thought of a finish like Punk and Taker. Vince says that he will not cancel the four way match. Vince agrees to the same scenario for Punk and Taker from Montreal and it will take place next week on Smackdown.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Vickie Guerrero is introduced and we get some vintage EXCUSE MES. She introduces Eric Escobar, making his Smackdown debut.

Match Number Three: Eric Escobar with Vickie Guerrero versus Matt Hardy in a Bragging Rights Qualifying Match

They lock up and Hardy avoids a punch and Matt connects with one of his own. Hardy with a side head lock and then he blocks a hip toss and gets a near fall with a back slide. Hardy with an inside cradle for another near fall. Hardy returns to the side head lock. Escobar with a back elbow and then he punches Hardy and gets a near fall. Escobar with a clothesline for a near fall and then he locks in a reverse chin lock. Escobar with a slam but he misses a back senton splash. Hardy and Escobar exchange punches and then Hardy with a Side Effect for a near fall. Hardy goes to the turnbuckles for the screaming elbow to the back of the head. Vickie gets on the apron and complains about her injured ankle. Escobar sends Hardy into the ring post and gets the three count with a rollup.
Winner: Eric Escobar

After the match, Vickie jumps around to celebrate with her new man.

We go to commercial.

We are back and it is time for the return of the Dirt Sheet and the Miz comes out and sits on the red side of the carpeted ring. John Morrison is out next and he sits on the blue side of the ring. Morrison says that he will prove that being Intercontinental Champion is better than the U.S. Champion at Bragging Rights. They talk about how Bragging Rights will prove which show is better. Morrison says that we will find out which part of the greatest tag team of this decade is at Bragging Rights. Miz talks about how he is the more successful member of the team while the other go to obscurity. They talk about Mork & Mindy, Bill & Ted, Wayne & Garth, Regis & Kathie Lee, and The Rockers. They talk about how Shawn Michaels became SHAWN MICHAELS while Marty Jannetty went on to be marty jannetty. Miz says that he will prove that Morrison is the marty jannetty. Miz says that there cannot be two Jannettys so by default, it has to be Morrison. Morrison suggests that Miz never had a girlfriend. Morrison says that at least the Miz had the ability to dress like himself and be a loser. Morrison throws out a nuclear combination of ick to show the components of the Miz. Morrison calls Miz ‘husky’. Miz says that the Miztakes are just jealous. Miz says that he will show everyone at Bragging Rights that he is better than Morrison. Morrison suggests that they find out right now, but Miz says that he will not do it in a second rate place on a second rate show. Morrison says that Raw is a second rate version of Saturday Night Live. Morrison calls Miz boring and Miz says that he is charismatic and he was the one who carried their team. Miz reminds us that he is AWESOME. Morrison suggests that all Miz does is run his mouth. Morrison says that he will not let Miz just talk. He wants Miz to get up and prove something. They get face to face on the red part of the carpet. Morrison dares Miz to do something and Miz takes off his jacket. Miz leaves the ring and Morrison says that is what he thought. He tells Jannetty that he will see him at Bragging Rights.

We go to a Drew McIntyre/R Truth video package.

R Truth is walking in the back as we go to commercial.

Match Number Four: R Truth versus Drew McIntyre in a Bragging Rights Qualifying Match

They lock up and Truth blocks a kick and connects with an uppercut and sends Truth into the turnbuckles. McIntyre with a kick and side head lock. Truth with a hip toss and drop kick that sends McIntyre to the floor. Truth with a pescado onto McIntyre and we go to commercial.

We are back and action has returned to the ring and McIntyre with a chin lock. We see footage of McIntyre sending Truth into the ring steps during the commercial break. Back to the current action and McIntyre is sent to the floor by Truth. Truth goes to the floor and he punches McIntyre. McIntyre runs Truth’s back into the ring post and then McIntyre with a near fall. McIntyre punches Truth while Teddy and Chris discuss something instead of watching the match. McIntyre with a chin lock followed by a knee and slam. McIntyre goes to the turnbuckles but he leaps into Truth’s boots and it staggers Drew. McIntyre misses a charge into the corner and Truth with punches and then he does a split to avoid McIntyre and then hits a drop kick for a near fall. McIntyre avoids the scissors kick. McIntyre set for the double underhook DDT but Truth sends McIntyre into the turnbuckles. Truth clotheslines McIntyre over the top rope. McIntyre sends Truth into the ring steps and McIntyre wins by count out.
Winner: Drew McIntyre by count out

Rey Mysterio is in his locker room getting ready and his opponent enters and Rey hugs him. Batista says that he doesn’t feel good about this match because Rey is his ‘brother’. Rey reminds Batista that ‘brothers’ fight all the time. Batista says that tonight is one thing, but he will have to put their friendship aside at Bragging Rights. Rey says he would expect that to happen. They talk about their other opponents at Bragging Rights and they say that it will not be easy. Rey says that he has been World Champion before and he will walk out of Bragging Rights as champion. Rey tells Batista to take it easy on him.

We are back with a vintage John Cena/Randy Orton Iron Man Match video package.

We take a look back at Montreal Screwjob 2009 when the Undertaker won and then didn’t win the World Title.

We go to the Undertaker and he says that it has been said that history has a way of repeating itself, but not in his yard. He tells Punk, Teddy Long, and Scott Armstrong that once again they all decided to tempt their own fates and try to wrest the holy grail from death’s grip. He tells them that they should know that once you enter Hell’s Gates there is no turning back. At Bragging Rights, he will take CM Punk’s soul. Next week, he will give Punk his Last Rites.

Match Number Five: Rey Mysterio versus Batista

They shake hands before the match starts. Rey with a waist lock and then he tries for a cross body but Batista catches him and lets Rey go with Rey landing on his feet. Rey works on the arm. Batista sends Rey under the rope on an Irish whip but Rey returns to the ring quickly. We go to commercial.

We are back and Batista pushes Rey into the turnbuckles. They lock up and Batista sends Rey to the mat and Rey with a drop kick to the knee and kicks to the leg. Rey with a drop toe hold and Batista assumes the position but he ducks the 619. Batista with a kick but Rey with a kick of his own. Batista with a spear to Rey and Rey goes to the floor. Rey gets back into the ring at nine and Batista gets a few near falls. Batista with shoulders in the corner. Batista with a knee to the midsection for a near fall. Batista with a waist lock. Batista with a bear hug and Rey tries for a sunset flip but Batista does not go down. Rey with a clip and a kick and drop kick that sends Batista to Rey’s happy place and Rey hits the 619. Batista catches Rey on a springboard move, but Rey counters with the West Coast Pop for the three count.
Winner: Rey Mysterio

After the match, Batista claims the shoulder was up but the referee does not change the result. Rey and Batista hug so they are still friends.

Punk attacks Rey in the ring and hits Go To Sleep. Punk escapes the ring before Batista makes his way back into the ring. Batista checks on his little buddy and they hug again as we go to credits.
