CM Punk was namedropped by Daniel Bryan as he hyped up a potential match with Roman Reigns at Fastlane for the WWE Universal Championship. If Bryan wins, he wants to head into WrestleMania as ‘the best damn wrestler in the world.’ CM Punk teased a return to AEW to face big names recently.
Bryan told Paul Heyman on Talking Smack, “I have a message for you to give to Roman Reigns. I want you to give this message to Roman Reigns. I am no longer putting myself on the backburner. I am no longer putting other people first. I am going out to take what’s mine and that’s the reign I should have had before CM Punk and that’s the best damn wrestler in the world.”
Bryan challenged Jey Uso to a steel cage match next week where if he wins, he gets Roman Reigns at Fastlane.
Roman Reigns tweeted in response to the match being confirmed, “Putting yourself through a whole bunch of a trouble just to end up in the same place. On the ground. Knocked out. #Smackdown.”
Paul Heyman said he was pleased with Seth Rollins’ interview on Talking Smack.
