An update has emerged regarding WWE NIL signee AJ Ferrari. KOKH FOX 25 reported that Ferrari is set to appear in court for arraignment on December 6 after a Payne County Judge found the sexual battery case against him has probable cause.
AJ Ferrari charged for sexual assault
Ferrari was announced as part of the Inaugural NIL Class in December 2021. WWE has yet to comment on Ferrari’s status in the NIL program. Details have emerged regarding his trial.
“The court finds that there is probable cause to believe that a crime was committed and that the defendant committed the crime,” Judge Thomas said. “The court binds the defendant over for trial court arraignment on December 6, 2022 at 1:30 p.m.”
In August, Ferrari was charged with one felony count of sexual battery. A warrant was issued for his arrest on August 3. Bond was set at $25,000. Ferrari was accused of sexual assault by a woman who filed and received an emergency protective order on July 5.
Oklahoma State dismissed him from the wrestling team on July 13. Ferrari was 30-1 in his career at Oklahoma State, going 20-1 and winning a national championship at 197 pounds in his true freshman season. He was 10-0 as a sophomore before a car accident ended his season. He suffered internal damage to his shoulder as a result of the accident.
