On the latest episode of Konnan’s podcast ‘Keepin’ It 100′, former WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Rey Mysterio, along with his son and current WWE Superstar Dominik Mysterio discussed the possibility of getting the COVID-19 vaccine. Wrestling-Edge transcribed the comments below.
Konnan: I think by what I am reading that by the Summer that everyone will be mostly vaccinated and I wonder how they are gonna do large gatherings in the future. Are you going to have to show that you have been vaccinated to get into a place or what’s going on?
Rey: Yeah, that’s weird man.
Dominik: They can mail me my vaccine.
Konnan: Are you not going to take a vaccine, what is your concern?
Dominik: I mean, I’m not educated enough to speak on it, but I remember going to my middle school and not being able to go in because I needed a vaccine for something. So I went to the Walgreens across the street, got my vaccine and went to school. But I feel that vaccines usually take years to make, and this one got made in like, nine months.
One WWE official who has no doubts about the COVID-19 vaccine is WWE’s Senior Ringside Physician, Dr. Chris Amann who took to social media via Twitter that he received a first dose of the Moderna vaccine for COVID-19.
Amann said that he “didn’t feel a thing” when he got the vaccine. The Doctor also expressed his thanks to “health care workers, researchers, and organizations” who were working to bring the COVID-19 pandemic under control. You can view the tweet from Amann below.
