Daniel Bryan was not saying ‘YES’ to a ‘Yesamania 2’. WWE WrestleMania 37’s night two was headlined by a highly-acclaimed triple threat match that saw ‘The Tribal Chief’ and WWE Universial Champion Roman Reigns defend his championship against ‘The Leader of the Yes movement’ Daniel Bryan and ‘The Rated R Superstar’ Edge. While the match itself was one of the most praised during the show’s two nights, Bryan has revealed during an interview with BT Sport that he tried to get out of the main event picture for WrestleMania several times. Daniel Bryan and another top superstar were recently ‘pulled’ from Raw.
Bryan was added as a late addition to continue his momentum from WWE Fastlane the month prior. While the original plan was for Bryan and Reigns to face each other in a one-on-one contest at ‘The Show of Shows’. In talking with the outlet, Bryan revealed how he believed he didn’t add anything to the match itself as he BTSport: “I kept trying to get out of it… It was such a strong main event with just the two of them.” The former WWE Champion would then declare how he sensed other people felt he didn’t belong in the match and yet they couldn’t speak up or say anything. After Bryan voiced his opinion, it was clear that while his peers might have agreed with him, they weren’t going to say so to his face and the match went on as you saw on television.
