WWE Star Returns Due To McMahon Scandal?

An update has emerged about Max Dupri’s WWE status. Vince McMahon might have nixed the gimmick of the SmackDown star. The former WWE NXT 2.0 star Sofia Cromwell, now known as Maxxine Dupri recently made her main roster debut on the latest edition of Friday Night SmackDown. The took place inside the TD Garden in Boston, MA. Vince McMahon had announced his retirement ahead of the show. With Maxxine Dupri making her way to the blue brand, it seems, it is the end of Max Dupri.

The newest character serving as a mouthpiece for Maximum Male Models is Maxxine Dupri, the storyline sister of Max Dupri(formerly LA Knight in NXT). There was a lot of speculation on which NXT star would don the Maxxine Dupri character. The real answer was revealed on Friday night. In a backstage segment, Cromwell was revealed as Maxxine Dupri.

Max Dupri was taken off the show at the last minute

In a new report from Fightful Select, Dupri was unbooked last minute. It was also noted that Ma.çé and Mån.sôör were on board with the angle, while Dupri had some reservations about things. Fightful reported that the sources had informed that Max Dupri had “ruffled some feathers” with a couple of scripts that he challenged. Vince McMahon was at ringside to produce the Maximum Male Models debut segment. McMahon had worked with Dupri quite a bit on how he should look and sound. He wanted him to sound nothing like LA Knight.

Another source indicated that the best thing that could possibly have happened to Dupri was Vince McMahon retiring because he does still have some supporters in WWE that enjoy his work. It was hinted that the door wasn’t closed for the decision to be reversed.

The planned 2022 beachwear collection showcase for Maximum Male Models has been pushed back to the July 29 edition of SmackDown.
