R-Truth’s most recent match was on NXT television against Grayson Waller this past Tuesday, where he had to be helped by the medical staff to the backstage area after a dive over the top rope saw R-Truth land awkwardly on the mat. Prior to that, the match seemed to have been going well.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that R-Truth may have suffered from a serious injury.
Meltzer wrote, “This wasn’t confirmed at press time, but the belief was that he tore his quad, which is a very serious injury that could keep him out for a long time.”
Waller was declared the winner due to the referee’s decision to stop it. He then cut a promo after the match because it was cut short unexpectedly. Regardless, we do hope that the pro wrestling legend does return as soon as possible.
