The WWE has seen several Superstars and employees released following its merger with Endeavor. Among the talents released were Mace and Mansoor of Maximum Male Models, who have since taken to Twitch to share some backstage stories, shedding light on their experiences during their time with the company.
In one recent Twitch update, Mace and Mansoor recounted an incident involving an altercation with Braun Strowman that took place in September 2022. According to their account, as they were making their way to the ring, Braun Strowman attacked them as part of a scripted segment. In this segment, Strowman was supposed to take a lunchbox and eat a sandwich as part of the storyline.
However, the issue arose when Strowman not only knocked Mace but also sent the lunchbox flying into the crowd. This unplanned turn of events forced the segment to be improvised on the spot. Mansoor then found himself targeted by Strowman after Mace was unable to locate the missing sandwich.
Mace, reflecting on the situation, expressed his concern that WWE management might interpret the incident as him going “into business for himself,” essentially deviating from the planned script. This was a worrisome prospect for him, as it could potentially lead to him being fired by the company.
The behind-the-scenes stories shared by Mace and Mansoor offer a glimpse into the unpredictable nature of live professional wrestling events and the challenges that Superstars may face when a segment doesn’t go as scripted. It highlights the pressure and quick thinking required to adapt to unexpected situations in the world of sports entertainment.
“I thought I was going to go to the back after that segment and get fired.”
