WWE SummerSlam In ‘Four Cities’ Rumor Leaks

WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view is often referred as the ‘Biggest Party of the Summer’. There have been talks about this year’s edition of the event.

WWE had brought the crowd back in business at WrestleMania 37 after a halt of one year. As it turns out, the company is now eyeing to hold the show at another venue and not in ThunderDome.

No location has been confirmed for the show as of yet. It is needless to say that Vince McMahon would be aiming to hold the show at a different venue.

SummerSlam generally takes place in mid August but WrestleVotes recently reported  that the plan this year is to hold the event early in that month.

August 1 is the date being referred to, but nothing is fixed. There’s also a PPV date scheduled within the company’s talent relations app for July 18, though no name is applied to it. Jeff Hardy ‘Quitting’ WWE Rumor Leaks2021

Where can SummerSlam be held?

There have been several cities and locations which have been short listed. But internally Las Vegas apparently is the preferred location. Phoenix, and a nondescript “Texas” as option has also been discussed.

No internal discussions of considering New York City as the venue has been noted. However, Dave Meltzer has heard that MSG is in consideration.

It is understood Vince McMahon had wanted to shuffle the pay-per-view dates in the calendar due to the probable disruption during the pandemic. But the things are seem to be in place. We will have to see where SummerSlam takes place this year.
