WWE SmackDown color commentator Pat McAfee is set to make her return to the ring in a highly-anticipated match against Happy Corbin at SummerSlam. On the latest edition of the show, McAfee was humiliated by his rival when his past arrest was brought up and he was assaulted.
Pat McAfee was brutally assaulted by Happy Corbin
Pat McAfee’s feud against Corbin has been personal because both have history. The pair were former teammates during their time with the Indianapolis Colts. On tonight’s episode of SmackDown, Happy Corbin was sitting behind the broadcast booth, having apparently bought a ticket. He used the seat to harass his rival and throw popcorn at him. He exposed McAfee’s past arrest in October 2010 by placing his mugshot on a poster. (The former NFL player was arrested for public intoxication.)
Happy Corbin would proceed to attack Pat McAfee and blindsided him by hitting him with a low blow. The former ECW figure Joel Gertner recently spoke to Bill Apter on Sportskeeda Wrestling’s SummerSlam 2022 Preview. Bill Apter believes that Pat McAfee will register a huge win at ‘The Biggest Party of The Summer’, Gertner disagreed, stating that McAfee can afford the loss:
“I would be 101% in agreement with you had they not already put Pat McAfee in a neck brace courtesy of Happy Corbin. And so now he has the neck brace. Like you said, Happy Corbin is the wrestler, Pat McAfee can afford the loss, and it doesn’t matter because you can call wrestling from the booth with a neck brace on. So I don’t know. I’ll go with Happy Corbin.”
