WWE Superstars Results – July 14th

We begin this week’s show with the Raw brand and your announcers are Scott ‘Broski’ Stanford and Josh ‘Did I remember my Booker to English dictionary for tomorrow night’ Mathews.

 


 

Match Number One: Santino Marella versus Zack Ryder

Santino warms up and Ryder backs into the corner. They lock up and Ryder pushes Marella away so he can woo woo woo for the fans. Santino forces Zack back to the corner. Ryder with a knee and forearm to Santino followed by an Irish whip but Santino floats over and hits a few arm drags. Ryder blocks a hip toss and Ryder with a short arm clothesline. Ryder sends Marella into the corner and he woo woo woos one more time.

Santino with a hip lock and Santino tries for the cobra but Ryder with a running clothesline for a near fall. Ryder with a neck breaker for another near fall. Ryder sends Santino into the corner and then he punches Santino. Ryder tries for the running boot in the corner but Santino moves out of the way.

Santino with jabs and a punch followed by a split and hip toss. Santino with the diving head butt for a near fall. Santino goes to the turnbuckles and he wants to go up top, but he has trouble on the top turnbuckle so he goes to the second turnbuckle and he misses the diving head butt. Ryder with the Rough Ryder for the three count.

Winner: Zack Ryder

We go to commercial.

We are back and it is time for the Smackdown Brand and your announcers are Matt ‘The Pit Boss of NXT’ Striker and Jack ‘Croupier’ Korpela.

Match Number Two: Trent Barreta versus Wade Barrett

Barrett misses a punch and Barreta with forearms to Wade and then he climbs on the turnbuckles but Barrett pushes him away. Barrett with the Blackpool Slam for a near fall. Barrett with a kick to Trent and then he chokes Barreta in the ropes. Barrett with a boot to the chest that sends Trent to the floor.

Barrett goes out after Trent and he runs Barreta into the ring apron and then back into the ring. Barrett gets a near fall. Barrett punches Barreta and the referee warns him. Barreta with a punch and forearms to Barrett but Barrett with a back heel kick and Trent goes down. Barrett takes too much time for a pump handle slam and that allows Barreta to hit an enzuigiri. Barreta with a flying back elbow into the corner followed by a twisting moonsault onto Barrett for a near fall.

Barreta with a leg drop to Barrett when he misses a shoulder by the ropes. Barreta sends Barrett back into the ring and Barrett stops Barreta’s springboard move and Barrett hits Wasteland for the three count.

Winner: Wade Barrett

We go to commercial.

Match Number Three: Michael McGillicutty and David Otunga versus The Usos in a Non Title Match

Jey and Otunga start things off and they lock up. Otunga with a knee and punch but Jey blocks a kick and hits a Northern Lights suplex for a near fall. Jimmy tags in and they hit a double back elbow and double elbow drop. Jimmy with a near fall but Otunga with a punch and Michael is tagged in.

Michael sends Jimmy over the top rope but he lands on the apron. Jimmy takes care of Otunga and Micgillicutty for a moment but Michael sends Jimmy into the ring post and then Michael hits a running drop kick that sends Jimmy to the floor. We go to commercial.

We are back and Otunga sends Jimmy into the corner and then Michael is tagged back in and they double team Jimmy. Otunga with a forearm to the back and he gets a near fall. Otunga with a reverse chin lock on Jimmy as Jimmy gets back to his feet. Jimmy with elbows and punches followed by a jaw breaker. Michael tags in and he knocks Jey off the apron. The referee keeps Jey on the apron and that allows Otunga and McGillicutty to double team Jimmy and he gets a near fall.

Michael chokes Jimmy in the ropes and then Otunga punches Jimmy. Michael gets a near fall. Otunga tags in and Michael hits a running back elbow into the corner followed by a clothesline into the corner by Otunga and then David gets a near fall. Otunga with a rear chin lock on Jimmy.

Jimmy sends Otunga into the corner and then he hits a Samoan drop on Otunga and both men are down. Jey and Michael tag in and Jey with punches followed by a short arm clothesline and back elbow. Jey with a spinning forearm and then he hits the running butt splash into the corner and then he gets a near fall.

Otunga breaks up the cover but Jimmy with a a superkick. Jey with a super kick to Michael and then Jimmy is tagged in and he hits a superfly splash for the three count.

Winners: The Usos

We go to commercial.

We go back to the Raw brand with Scott ‘Do I get paid twice this week’ Stanford and Josh ‘I was ready to go to the North End for dinner and now I have to change my reservation’ Mathews.

Match Number Four: Beth Phoenix versus Maryse

Maryse throws her jacket at Beth as the bell rings but Beth with a reverse atomic drop and then she puts Maryse in a giant swing while Maryse screams. Beth with a clothesline and she gets a near fall. Maryse goes for the knee and she clips Beth and then kicks Beth and gets a near fall. Maryse slaps Beth and then she does a version of a curb stomp into the turnbuckle.

Beth with a forearm to the midsection but Maryse with a knee lift and she gets a near fall. Maryse yells at Beth while slamming her head into the mat. Maryse takes off Beth’s head band and puts it on herself and then Maryse does Beth’s pose and then she kicks Beth. Maryse with a forearm followed by a rear chin lock.

Beth gets to her feet with Maryse on her shoulders and Maryse with a punch while screaming like Melina to escape. Beth runs Maryse into the corner and Beth punches Maryse and then hits the slingshot suplex and gets a near fall. Beth picks up Maryse and punches her with the head band. Maryse with a back heel kick and then she gets a near fall.

Maryse with a front face lock while Beth looks to be out on her feet. Beth tries for the Glam Slam but Maryse gets to the ropes. She cannot escape it a second time and Beth hits the Glam Slam for the three count.

Winner: Beth Phoenix

We see the Money in the Bank video package.
