WWE’s corporate jet was spotted leaving the United States for the first time in a year today, as it was en route to Abu Dhabi. The jet made a stop in Dublin, Ireland, leading to some confusion as fans though that was the final destination. The Conor McGregor to WWE rumors will have to go on the back burner!
Vince McMahon planning lucrative Abu Dhabi shows for when WWE can returning to live shows makes sense, especially after a year of lost touring revenue. A Saudi Arabian return will also be a financial boon for the company, as they will owe them an additional show that they missed last year after Super ShowDown in February. WWE have been rumored to move Raw to a football stadium or smaller location.
Another major move for WWE is the network’s move to Peacock, a deal made by Nick Khan. Triple H revealed last night if this will effect NXT Takeover shows, “That is the plan. Obviously new partners and a platform but the content and the delivery on content, it’s a WWE product and WWE’s process,”
He added, “Will that change at some point? Will there be more or less? We’re always going to evaluate. No different than we would at any other point in time but that is the plan, to keep going. The beautiful thing about Peacock is there’s a lot of eyeballs, potentially.”
