The Authors of Pain haven’t been seen together since Akam suffered a knee injury in late 2018. After he underwent knee surgery in January, his tag team partner Rezar made one final appearance on PPV, teaming with Scott Dawson in a losing effort for the Raw Tag Team Titles at Royal Rumble 2019.
Since then, we’ve seen nothing on Raw or SmackDown in regards to a return for the former Raw Tag Team Champions, or an update on Akam’s condition. However, in a video posted today, Cathy Kelly and Kayla Braxton teased the WWE Universe, claiming that there had been rumors that Akam was returning to TV soon.
With Monday Night Raw picking up three tag teams during the Superstar Shake-Up last night, (Viking Experience, Ricochet & Aleister Black, The Usos), could we see AOP show up on SmackDown Live tonight or in the coming weeks?
