WWE announced that Toxic Attraction (Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne) will replace Nikkita Lyons & Zoey Stark in the WWE Women’s Tag Team Title tournament on the August 19 episode of WWE SmackDown. Mandy Rose is backstage. They will face Natalya & Sonya Deville.
Mike Johnson at PWInsider first reported this change was going to happen.
On Tuesday’s NXT, Rose defeated Stark in an NXT Women’s Title match. Rose targeted the knee of Stark throughout the match and defeated her with a knee while wearing Stark’s knee brace. Stark was away from in-ring action from October 2021 to July with a torn ACL/Meniscus.
