WWE plans to change the location of WrestleMania 37

WWE could be potentially changing the location of WrestleMania 37 pay-per-view. Earlier, the event was advertised as ‘WrestleMania: Hollywood’, scheduled to take place at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

WrestleMania event could move to a new venue

Now, as reported by Gary Cassidy of Inside The Ropes, there is a huge possibility that the event could be held at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, instead of the earlier announced venue.

Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida was also the original location of WrestleMania 36.

Unfortunately, the pay-per-view moved to WWE’s training facility, Performance Center, amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The show had no fans at the location and most of the matches were pre-taped.

WrestleMania 37 plans are still on hold with the increase in numbers of the COVID cases in the United States. Thus, it is is a matter of concern.

However, in the month of April, Eric Garcetti, Los Angles Mayor had stated:

“Large gatherings such as concerts and sporting events may not be approved in the city for at least 1 year.”

Thereby, it is understood that the event will not be taking place in Los Angeles. As it stands, Los Angeles could be the venue for WrestleMania in 2022 but no word is out yet about that.

Moreover, Ron DeSantis, the Governor of Florida had addressed WWE as an essential business because Linda Mcmahon “promised” $18.5 million to Florida through a presidential Super PAC.

WrestleMania 37 is set to take place on  March 28, 2021 and the location is yet to be confirmed officially by WWE.
