WWE To Fire Ex-World Champion After Raw

The former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks was released as per the WrestlingInc and Raj Giri. However, new reports emerged which noted her presence on the WWE’s internal roster. WrestleVotes stated that Sasha Banks has indeed been released from her WWE contract. However, PWInsider noted that she is seemingly with WWE.

Sasha Banks is likely to be handed her release soon

During his appearance on TSN’s Sunday Night’s Main Event, Dave Meltzer talked about the Sasha Banks rumors. Meltzer said that the last thing he heard was that they were still in talks about her release and he wouldn’t shock him if she got her release this week.

It seems that it is contradicting the previous reports that stated she was released last week. But either way, it looks like she won’t be returning to the ring.

Meltzer said:

“As far as I know, the only thing that I have been told is that they are negotiating it right now. I don’t know that the negotiation is final. I know that it’s been written (in media reports) that it is. The last I asked, which would have been two days ago, it was not final but it wouldn’t shock me if it happened this week. That is how it was described to me a couple of days ago. Where it is at this moment, I don’t know.”

Meltzer said that he wouldn’t be surprised if there was something included in the agreement where both sides don’t say anything negative about the other.

Sasha Banks and Naomi had walked out of Monday Night RAW due to creative differences. There have been various sides to the story already reported, including that the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions confronted WWE Chairman Vince McMahon over their issue. WWE left that part out of their official narrative, but Banks and Naomi did have words with the boss. In the official statement from the company, it was noted that Sasha Banks and Naomi dropped their tag titles on the desk of John Laurinaitis and left the building.

The Boss’ has recently undergone a Photorefractive Keratectomy (PRK) eye surgery, earlier this week. Newsom Eye, the ophthalmologist center that was in charge of the performed surgery, shared videos and photos of Banks before and after the operational procedure.

We will now have to wait and see what the future holds for Sasha Banks.
