WWE told talents that old touring schedule will never return

The COVID-19 pandemic affected the entire world and that included professional wrestling. WWE had a lot of plans for this year but they had to change all of them due to the pandemic. They stopped touring and it seems it will never be the same again.

According to a report by The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE Superstars have been told by the company that “the old way of touring is not coming back.” This will remain true even after they resume touring again.

This was told to Superstars who were negotiating contracts with the company.

There is talent in WWE that has been told in recent contract negotiations that the old way of touring is not coming back, even if and when the country bounces back from COVID.

WWE let go of several employees who were responsible for the live events. Employees including even Tony Chimel were released earlier this week. The company managed to save a good deal of revenue by cancelling their live touring schedule.

It was also noted that WWE is unlikely to completely stop live events as they could still hold house shows in Madison Square Garden and other places.
