WWE Top Star Suddenly Leaves For AEW

According to multiple sources, former WWE NXT Champion Adam Cole’s future will be elsewhere in the landscape of professional wrestling as tonight was allegedly his final night in Vince McMahon’s WWE and on the WWE NXT brand, with rumors he’s headed to AEW.

 


 

Vince McMahon ‘sabotaged’ a match for this top WWE name Cole lost to long time friend and rival Kyle O’Reilly tonight in a two out of three falls match. O’Reilly would win the first fall, a standard one-on-one contest – however, Cole would get his revenge during the second fall which was an ‘anything goes street fight.’ In the end, the Adam Cole – Kyle O’Reilly saga would come to an end as O’Reilly would win the final and decisive fall, which was held inside of a solid steel cage.

According to FightfulSelect.com, Cole did not sign a new WWE contract beyond the short-term deal earlier this summer It should be noted however that Cole has met with Vince McMahon.

As per the outlet: “Adam Cole lost his NXT Takeover 36 match to Kyle O’Reilly tonight, two falls to one. His deal is set to expire very soon, after he signed a short-term extension in July. WWE sources indicated to Fightful that as of this morning, Adam Cole had not signed a new WWE contract beyond his short-term extension. Cole has met with Vince McMahon in recent weeks, and there have been main roster pitches for him over the course of the last month.”

However, PWInsider has confirmed that tonight’s WWE NXT takeover event was the final WWE apperance for the former Undisputed Era leader.
