WWE Top Stars Miss Raw After Vince Returns

During this week’s episode of RAW, which was held in Hartford, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon was present for the show. However, there were a few notable absences among the Superstars.

According to a report from PW Insider, Tommaso Ciampa was not in attendance for RAW this week, which is interesting considering he was present the previous week. Similarly, Drew McIntyre was absent from the red brand for yet another week.

It remains to be seen when Tommaso Ciampa and Drew McIntyre will make their returns to WWE programming. Both Superstars recently came back from injury hiatuses, so their recoveries may have different timelines.

Additionally, Drew McIntyre is facing contract negotiations with WWE, as reports indicate that the two parties were far apart on financial terms. McIntyre’s current deal is set to expire at the end of this year. The contract status of Tommaso Ciampa, on the other hand, remains unknown.

We are told that Tommaso Ciampa was not backstage at Raw last night after being present last week. Neither was Drew McIntyre, who we were asked about quite a bit over the last few days.

Fans and wrestling enthusiasts will be eagerly awaiting updates on the return of Tommaso Ciampa and Drew McIntyre, as their presence and contributions are highly valued within the WWE landscape.

During this week’s episode of RAW in Hartford, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon made an appearance to oversee the show and provide his input. While there weren’t significant changes made, McMahon ensured that the event ran according to his vision. Recent reports have shed more light on McMahon’s presence and the overall atmosphere during the show.

According to Sean Sapp’s observations, the mood surrounding McMahon’s presence at RAW in Hartford was far less frenetic compared to the RAW after WrestleMania. Throughout the afternoon, there were rumors circulating among the talent about McMahon’s attendance. By around 6:00 PM ET, many members of the roster and staff hadn’t seen McMahon personally but noticed a room being prepared for someone to use as an office. It later turned out that the office was indeed for McMahon.

Throughout the afternoon, there were rumblings among talent that Vince McMahon would be at the show. As of about 6:00 PM ET, many of the talent and staff hadn’t seen McMahon, but did see a room being prepared for someone to work out of. That ended up being an office for McMahon.

PWInsider reported shortly after 6:30 ET that Vince McMahon was backstage at Raw. Most of the staff and talent in attendance were not surprised by this, as Hartford is a fairly short trip from where Vince McMahon lives, and most do not expect him to regularly be backstage, as he’s been fine making changes remotely in recent weeks.

For the June 5 show, however, Vince was in Gorilla Position himself, where he was WrestleMania weekend. Of late, McMahon has been calling in changes, sometimes very close to the show. This has caused late rundowns to be passed out and some segments and matches to be nixed.

We haven’t heard of anything out of the ordinary, and were told the mood was much less hectic at the Hartford Raw than the Raw After Mania.

It was also noted that, “aside from that, internal reports indicated that the Raw in Hartford was the highest grossing Raw/Smackdown in the history of the market for WWE.”
