WWE Top Stars ‘Sick’ Before Fastlane PPV

WWE have a big week with Fastlane coming up on Sunday, and sadly one of their shows appears to be suffering a new COVID-19 outbreak. Johnny Gargano may have missed NXT on Wednesday because of this.

Sean Ross Sapp on FightfulSelect.com reported, “Fightful has told there is fear of another breakout in NXT after a meeting/event took place on Thursday in which many WWE PC trainees were required to attend. Several of the people there were said to not be taking the proper precautions.” WWE are telling several wrestlers to quarantine and outright removing others from Wednesday’s show.

WWE NXT only has a few Wednesday shows left, as it is being reported that the move to Tuesdays is being finalized for the week after WrestleMania 37.

“Several WWE sources confirmed tofay that the first WWE NXT episode coming out of Wrestlemania 37 weekend is currently scheduled to be held and broadcast on Tuesday 4/13.”

NXT has been head to head with AEW Dynamite every week outside of preemptions since October 2019, with a new rumored NHL deal forcing the USA Network to move the show, with the weekly demo ratings losses certainly not helping matters for the yellow brand. In other big WWE news, Shane McMahon has been pulled from Fastlane.
