WWE wanted a newly signed Triple H to use DDP’s Diamond Cutter

Triple H has now completed his 25th year in the WWE and this remarkable achievement by this remarkable athlete will be celebrated. In his 25 years in the company, The King of Kings has captured the World Title for a total of 14 times and has been in the main event of WrestleMania multiple times.

To talk about his 25th Anniversary, Triple H appeared on WWE’s The Bump earlier today and talked about an interesting thing that WWE asked him to do upon signing. The company wanted Triple H to use Diamond Dallas Page’s famous “Diamond Cutter” neck breaker as his finisher.

The Game, however, said that the move was still a new thing in the business at the time and many wrestlers couldn’t figure out a way to sell it. Therefore, he didn’t go ahead with it and used it very scarcely.

Soon, the King of Kings found his footing in the company and introduced “The Pedigree” that went on to become an iconic move in its own right.
