WWE has already announced some huge names for Smackdown’s 1000th episode on October 16th, and according to Dave Meltzer and the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the company isn’t done trying to add huge names for this milestone of a show.
The Rock is the newest superstar to reportedly be approached by WWE to return for Smackdown 1000. The name of the show is obviously a play off of one of The Brahma Bull’s catchphrases and he would often refer to Smackdown as “his show” during his time with WWE.
It would be gigantic for the company to get an appearance from the man who made the show popular during its inception. Adding The People’s Champ to the show, along with the big names they’ve announced (and some rumored) and a newly advertised double main-event, would make this episode of Smackdown absolute must-see television.
