WWE & WCW World Champion Dies From Cancer

Sid Eudy has died from cancer. Sid’s son said he fought cancer for ‘several years.’ The wrestling community is in mourning following the passing of Sid Eudy, one of the sport’s most towering and unforgettable figures, on August 26, 2024. Eudy, known to fans worldwide as “Psycho Sid” and “Sid Vicious,” was 63 years old.

 


 

Eudy’s career spanned multiple decades, beginning in the late 1980s. Standing at 6’9” and weighing nearly 320 pounds, Sid was a force of nature, bringing raw power and intensity to every match. His physical dominance earned him accolades in both World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE) and World Championship Wrestling (WCW), where he became a multi-time world champion.

Sid’s character work was as impactful as his in-ring prowess. Known for his menacing persona and unpredictable behavior, he captivated audiences, whether as a villainous enforcer or a rebellious anti-hero. His memorable feuds with wrestling legends like Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels, and Bret Hart remain highlights in wrestling history.
