Greatest Royal Rumble takes place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Friday and features ten high profile matches, including seven title matches and a 50-man Royal Rumble. While the WWE has hyped the PPV up quite a bit, hammering home how important the Greatest Royal Rumble match will be, the company has gotten quite a bit of backlash regarding their decision to hold a PPV in Saudi Arabia.
Cultural reasoning is preventing the WWE’s Women’s division from appearing on the show, and Triple H has taken it upon himself to address the situation earlier in the week.
While the women are missing in action on Friday, it doesn’t mean they’re missing a paycheck. Jerry Lawler noted on his podcast, Dinner With The King, that the WWE, he believes, plans to give the female talent quite a payday.
Jim Cornette discussed the idea of paying the women’s roster a hefty amount of money for being forced to miss the show, to which the King replied: “I think that’s exactly what’s happening.”
If Lawler is correct, would this be a reasonable way to handle the issue by the company? Let us know what you think below.
